Looking back upon my life, faded memories on the wall

Hey, when did LJ stop letting you skip back friends views by more than two weeks?

A while back I split my reading across two custom friendslists, so the people who post less often weren't drowned out by more frequent posters and the comms I'm in. I noticed today that if I filter the noisy list down to personal journals only (http://.livejournal.Read more... )

Hmm.

Yet another reason to be glad of my Dreamwidth account, and having imported all of my LJ posts over there already.

Indeed. How're things going over there? I've not paid much attention to DW; LJ Twitter and FB keep me busy enough.

It's been going fine.

I've been posting to DW and then cross-posting automatically from there since DW went live a couple years ago and no issues yet.

It's not particularly confidence inspiring, is it.

I bought a parrot. That has taken up all of my free time and a mass amount of not free time. *shrugs*

That and I have nothing nice to say, so not said anything in a while lol.

All our free time and then some has been occupied by selling our house..

going anywhere nice or just a change of location?

How is your neck shiny btw?

Mostly just a change of location. We love the house, don't like the lack of back yard, and rabbit1080 hates being this side of the freeway. I think the location's really good, but we've been here five years now, so it's her turn :)

Neck shiny is behaving really well; barely needs maintaining. Will get some skin-divers after the house goes through. And some shoes, and some clothes, maybe a ps3 in the post christmas sales..

I noticed when you pointed it out, and asked about it in the news thing. They got all snarky and told me it wasn't new behaviour - so I googled 'lj friends limits' and found a reference to the limit as an existing thing way back as far as 2008- but I swear when I went away in february I was still able to skip back a month.

I'm wondering if the reason I'm noticing it now is because I had an S1 friends page & they've now disabled that style system or something whacky like that.

Annoying, anyway.

Yes, they've definitely been fiddling with things. All my views dropped down from twenty to ten entries a page a few months back :(

Very annoying for littl'ns like me who only log on every three months or so and expect full updates...

Yes, not good. You could open up everyone across 35 tabs?

yes... I have been considering it... :)
