I always liked the way you dressed for school. It's not to stuffy, it's fun, casual, but professional.. and easy on the eyes.

Uh oh. I've changed. Check out my added comments to my post. Now it should be really easy on the eyes. Not very casual any more.

I've changed the way I dress. I used to enjoy being fashionable and would get bored with wearing the same things eventually. That was because I wanted things that stood out. Then I noticed a new teacher who wore the same things every day, and I noticed it looked nice and also professional. She wore long straight, usually gray, skirts and knit tops that fit in light colors, medium tone neutral colors, and a sweater, along with the same black sandals EVERY day. Well, I LOVE twirly skirts and have several, but I finally found some below the knee straight skirts in 4 neutral colors and lately 2 more, and I wear them almost like a uniform. I'm uncomfortable wearing skirts above the knee to school. So long skirts and the big jewelry thing is my new style. I don't want to stand out any more. I just want to have authority and respect and students who listen to me without being distracted by how I'm dressed.

But as for shoes, I never wear the same pair 2 days in a row because it wears the shoes out faster if they don't rest between wearing. Luckily I've found some new shoes that fit my long skinny foot, and I those along with my old standbys that I replace every now and then. One big thing for me, though, is that I finally found a pair of "flip flops" that fit and I'm getting used to them, although I haven't worn them out anywhere yet.

Of course the flip flops aka slippahs are not for school.
