today was a frustrating day. finally was able to use the cryo-TEM (which had been down for two months) but spent all day trying to get some images and nada - didn't see anything. a disappointing end to a long day so i just wanted to go home and unwind

i love being pleasantly surprised and having a better time at something than expected. =)
at UM i played raquetball all winter long, it rocks. maybe ask for a raquet for xmas -- or get it for yourself around then (probably able to catch good sales?). well i got mine as a gift and its definitely way nicer to have your own (a decent one) than borrow an old not so good one from the gym every time. plus i always wanted to use it and was extra eager to go play!

Hi Sue. Didn't even know you played squash. Wow...cool. I wonder what else I'll learn about you by reading this journal. Seems like I've got a lotta catching up to do...sad.
