I just had to kill a pigeon with my bare hands.
That was the single hardest thing I've had to do in my life.

Why did you need to learn that?

A lot of facilities euthanize animals to feed out (rats, rabbits, pigeons). They showed us how to do this in the most humane way possible. We only have to do it once while at school and the pigeons go to the animals for food and behavior enrichment... circle of life. The pigeons themselves were old and "retired" homing pigeons... they were going to be killed either way.

It still sucks doing it.
