This evening I went to a friend of mine's apartment, which is about an hour and a half from where I live. He lives out in the middle of no where, basically. In the suburbs of no where. But I went and enjoyed the kotatsu he has.

As much as I'd like to say shut the guy up, I think you did the right thing not getting involved. I can see him getting violent, the police getting involved, and the wife pinning the blame on a gaijin just to protect her abusive marriage.

Yeah there was also the whole thing of being a gaijin that made me also wonder if I should do anything. I just don't like standing around injustice and doing nothing. It's horrible.
