I'm afraid this leaves quite a few people out of the loop, but it seems that my viewpoint differs from the majority, and if that leaves me to perform my task alone, then so be it. I'm sorry, Futch. I know you already made a pledge... by no means do I seek to keep you from it.
This Jowy 'Atreides' has called for a strike against Luca Blight. I agree, the Mad Prince must be stopped, or this war will rage on without end---but at what cost?
Luca is one man, and under no circumstances do I find it acceptable that the cost for stopping one man, even through deception, is the lives of each and every citizen of Muse, or any city, for that matter.
I did not take part in the Dunan Unification War, but it is my understanding that several True Runes were involved on both sides. Jowy must still possess one of those runes, as he implied a considerable contribution in the destruction of Muse. I already know Bishop Sasarai bears the True Earth Rune, and that it was responsible for a large part of the destruction.
What their intentions are, I cannot be so certain of. Futch... I should very much like to put an end to Luca's destruction. But you know I cannot be a part of that effort until I have seen to Sasarai and Jowy. If they are allowed to use those Runes at will, the cost could be everyone's lives.
Please... I bear a vendetta against no one here. I must see, with my own eyes, the nature of these two men----thus why I have locked this entry even against my own past allies such as Maximillian and his Knights, or genuinely well-intentioned young people, such as Riou, or Jillia. If these allies of Sasarai and Jowy run to them with what I have written here, then a battle will ensue. That is not my wish. I just need to see for myself. That is my calling.
I bear a Rune and I know the stakes. And to me, right now, Sasarai, Jowy, and the likes of Yuber, Neclord, and especially Windy, are more of a threat than Luca Blight.
Caesar Silverberg. You are a strategist of high regard in your time. I ask that you keep this to yourself. Surely you are not a fool, and you know that speaking of this matter to those I have kept uninformed will only cause a mass panic. I respect your grandfather's name enough to hope that you will not compromise me.
And please... if nothing comes of my looking into this matter, I should hope I will still be welcome in the campaign against Luca Blight. I am no admirer of his work, that is for certain.
Leknaat. If you are out there, please help me. If Jowy Blight had one thing right, it is that we need your help in fighting Windy. Now more than ever.
