I really don't know exactly. I read up a little about it in some history book but all I know is that it's a weapon of great power that pretty much went out of existence over a hundred and fifty years ago.
And from what's been written about it in the journals so far, they don't sound like something we want around. But considering it really isn't our concern, there's not much we can do about it.

They'd be relics to us in our own world. They'd already been banned some forty years before I came along. Rune cannons were seafaring weapons used extensively around the Island Nations and Falena... not something you wanted to deal with. In our own world, they were still putting out searches every now and then to look for and destroy any of the cannon shells that might still exist, but that was probably just a cautionary step. I believe the last time a notable amount were found was during the Falenan succession war that took place some forty years ago.
Obviously, not anything we want to get involved in, or should get involved in. My information was sound back in our world. Not so here.

Actually they were invented by some guy named Warlock (or was it Pablo?). They were a big part in the war that created the Island Federation. Apparently they came from some giant tree that a guy named Cray owned. But it got destroyed or something, I think.

Last semester I had a class all about Falena, it was great. I read that during the Falenan Civil War, that the Prince Freyjadour struck out against everyone to protect his little sister. Ah, he sounds so dreamy~!
I'd really love to go there, I heard they have talking gophers (or was it beavers?) there!
