[several scrawled false starts] The outrage of This is just I don't believe

[noticeably neater] At least no one here in the One Temple seems to mind me. To be thrown out of the palace is enough of an embarrassment, but to be thrown out of here would be infuriating.

Cryptic as this 'gift' is, I have little else at my disposal at the moment. If there are indeed "others," now would be the time to make themselves known.

"Your writings will not be seen by anyone if you do not desire such." I do not understand the nature of this book, but I will attempt to see if its words hold some truth. Something that is not incriminating...

I've already deduced that, considering how quickly the guards ejected me from my room, they did not want to cause a scene. Not that I didn't try to talk my way out of that mess. Perhaps it has to do with that woman who claimed that I was intruding in her room.

The nerve.

I thought that everyone in Harmonia had at least heard of the Silverberg name. Apparently I was mistaken. Or these particular guards are new and especially dimwitted; I have not seen them before, and they apparently did not know any of my superiors.
