The driving conditions started out very nice and clear, but as we got further west, we went through icy roads, blizzards, fog... you name it. Haha.
Courtesy of the icy roads, and my friend's vehicle with no winter tires (wtfmate?!), he ended up swerving into a snow bank. THANKFULLY, there just happened to be a tow truck right on the other side of the street. It had just finished fishing some other poor souls out of a snow bank on the opposite side, hahah.
The ten of us stayed at a condo, called "Chateau on the Ridge". It's pretty cool, because you can board/ski down from the condos to the chair lifts, and a few of the runs go right by the condos so you can board back instead of walking. :D
It snowed quite a bit while we were there! At some points the visibility wasn't too great, haha. But the powdery snow = relatively pain-free falls. :)
We went down to town (Kelowna) to buy groceries and while lining up for the cashier, my friend spotted this dino! We dubbed him, "Veggiesaur the Carnivore" :P
Seriously, some of the trees are pretty much mounds of ice, haha.
Molested!Charmander~ haha, in the Kids Centre area they had some Pokemon up... Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur. :D
Uh, proof that I was actually there snowboarding? Haha
On New Years Eve we buried our friend under a bunch of snow at the top of a mountain. People getting off the chair lifts would be saying stuff like "Hey! There's someone buried under there!" or "What are they doing?!" hahaah
The weather was really nice during the drive home. :) It was quite warm when we left, and it's kind of weird how there's snow on the mountains and then the lake/river(?) is completely devoid of ice ahaha.
I want to visit Kelowna some time in the summer. I'm sure it'll look gorgeous at that time as well. :)
