Having retired from the work-a-day world, I now (I hope) have time for Live Journal, so here I am. I haven't quite decided what LJ is to me yet, so I won't be posting much until I see how my various friends use it, and get a feel for the LJ me.

Welcome aboard! What's this 'retired from the work-a-day world' thing?

My job had slowly morphed into something I was not enjoying at all. An opportunity came up to take early retirement, so I grabbed it. I'm certainly going to pick up something part time to do: beyond listening to friends make music (what I did all weekend), dressing up in silly costume (Saturday evening) and sewing same, if only so that I have a reason to remember what day of the week it is. I'm not sure what yet, and whether it will be paid or volunteer. I'm taking the summer off and enjoying a bunch of family events, and to see how I cope with lots o' time, then in the fall I'll figure out what the next step in the rest of my life is.
