You have the wrong number!

Surely everyone has experienced someone dialing the wrong number and asking for someone who doesn't live in your household. It has to have happened at least once or twice. But has anyone ever experienced various people calling your house number repeatedly asking for someone who doesn't live there?

You've dialed the wrong number )

I had a very similar case! Although it was not a dentist but some private person who apparently used a lot of phone services and left her (now mine) home number all over. As a result, we were getting calls from various companies offering to sell something to her, invite her somewhere, include her in a survey and so on, so on. And since those people never stop talking it was actually hard to tell them we're not that lady and then convince them we're not interested in their offer as ourselves too. I'd usually cut into their speech (I know it's rude but they left me no choice), tell them to update their database and quickly end the call.

About the people who call twice, the first time they maybe wonder if they hit the wrong key by mistake and the number they had written down was actually the right one. They should just ask you the first time around though. :/

Hahaha. Sounds like you've got it worse. =/ Must be irritating. My boss has the same problem with the phone at his shop. Apparently it is similar to Hong Leong Bank's number. So he gets calls that go, "Hello. Hong Leong Bank? I'd like to speak to Mr. Wong." Rude people hang up immediately when they hear they've got the wrong number. He wasn't too happy about that. XD Worse times when people call and ask, "Uh, where am I calling?" XD
