Monday was the day that the school enforced the wheel clamping rule, something the students were informed of through emails sent to their student webmail, and also advertised through large banners plastered all over the university and newly-errected signs near parking bays. Here's a copy of the banner/poster/whatever you would like to call it:
So, even if students don't have a habit of checking their student webmail often, the posters plastered all over campus should be a big hint right? Students will be extra careful no?
Wrong. Don't believe me? There's proof. (which was obtained in an incredibly unorthodox way. After dropping Lu Wee off at the CE building we turned and left the parking bay and noticed three clamped cars, I overshot the distance and made another round so that Li Wen, aka Secretary of the secretary, could photograph them for me) Anyways, presenting exibit A:
Okay you can't exactly see the wheel clamp in this picture, but I assure you it's there.
Moving along to exhibit B:
Now this picture isn't exactly any clearer but bear in mind that it was taken behind a sheet of car window glass(that was kinda sorta maybe dirty) and that it was a cameraphone, which have never been that famous for photo quality. Now if you squint, and I mean squint, you can make out the wheel clamp on the front wheel, there's an orange triangle at the base of the wheel, with an extension that looks like a sign.
Exhibit C:
This is much better. Perfect evidence! Students pay no heed to the new rules.
Still, I always did think the university lacked parking spaces, the available ones are insanely far away from the campus itself, but the entrance of a junction isn't exactly the best place to park don't you think?
Back to work before the deadline eats me and Lu Wee has my head, whichever comes first.
