How do you know your time as part of the younger generation is over? Three positive signs tips:
1. You look around and realise that children and teenagers have better phones than you do, and you look back and realise that phones really weren't a necessity when you were their age. Plus phones back then were just phones, you used them to call and occasionally text message others. Nowadays, you realise, children and teenagers have phones that can do so much more; these phones call, text, take fairly good photos, allow internet access on the go and make video calls. There should be more functions, but you simply don't remember them all.
2. You find yourself saying things like, "When I was your age" or "Back then". Then stop to think this is stuff you used to only hear your parents say. You stop briefly to mourn your bygone youth.
3. While listening to songs you find that these days they don't make songs like they used to. And then you pause again because you again sound like your parents. Soon you find that not only do they not make songs like they used to, but now your younger siblings are labeling you "old-fashioned" and "outdated" because you're not listening to their kind of music. Again you find yourself mourning bygone youth.
