I'm still uncertain what their 'Debut' album is. Two of my friends, both of whom I greatly respect their opinions say differently. One says DISORDER, one says NIL. Both makes sense to me, so I'm compromising by putting one from both albums!
First off, DISORDER. I first heard the album spring 2005. It wasn't the first time I'd heard the GazettE (that will be talked of on day 25), but it was the first time I listened to them and liked them. I thought of putting the $ocial Riot Machine$ because that was the first song I actually liked by them, but I decided not to use the more popular one. I thought of Maximum Impulse, but I really prefer that Live because of Kai's added vocals, so instead I decided to go with:

I don't like MANY songs off of DISORDER. I really only like 5 songs off of the album, not including the opening and ending tracks. Like $ocial Riot Machine$, SxDxR didn't sound like any music I had ever heard before. I really like WEIRD music. When I first heard it, I thought the distortion and disharmony of the instruments and vocals that GazettE has in many of it's old songs was annoying because it's hard to pick up. I also didn't understand the lyrics because of the Japanese and Ruki's accent, but I definitely understood "suck my dick" and laughed so hard I had to smother my face with a pillow so I didn't wake my sister up. Hadn't been expecting that~ Now that I know more of the music, I still like SxDxR, especially since the lyrics are so weird.
Now, from NIL... NIL is hard, because I don't really LOVE any of the songs from that album. DISCHARGE yes, but only live. I don't really prefer the CD version because I think they speed the tempo up for lives. I can't really say THE END, can I? Since that's an opening and doesn't count. The other's I do enjoy, like D.L.N. and SILL GOD DISCO, but I decided to use 体温 [Taion]

I first heard this song on the NLSG DVD and didn't think much of it. I'm not a fan of slow songs, and even though it's a very heavy song, I still categorize it as a slow song. The second time I heard it was on the DECOMPOSITION BEAUTY DVD. Ruki's performance of 体温 [Taion] was so powerful. It was the first time I'd really heard his scream... like the scream he uses as the beginning of DIM SCENE. It gave me chills and my friend who was with me when I first put in the DVD was like 'whoa....' when she heard it. I never bothered to look up the lyrics because I'm not very good at understanding the meaning of lyrics and understanding the beauty of composition. Lyrics, or poetry and such. When it's read to me, or sang to me, I get swept up in the words and loose the meaning and am only left with the love of words.
If that makes sense.
I was browsing when I ran across the 'meaning of 体温 [Taion]' and I was some what skeptical because it was written by a fan and not official source and they used phrases like 'and thats why they get so choked up during this song'. My thought was 'well they're performing too, I'm not sure that's exactly why'. *cold |D;;* but I researched Junko Furuta and thought it was interesting that they would have a song for her. Again, I'd never heard of a band doing something like that. I still get confused when I listen to their songs and wonder where they get the ideas from. I don't know many bands with such a strange collection of songs haha
