you know, I don't remember. I think I first came across it in some review article on "Darwin's Dangerous Idea." If not, then probably in my class on psychological anthropology. I think it's a pretty famous passage in Freud's Lectures, where he says the first blow was when humankind learned that Earth was not the center of the universe, then Darwin showing man's descent from the animals, then as the third blow he named psychoanalysis and himself.
