History:
Shun’s parents died when he was a baby, leaving him and Ikki alone. Ikki ran away to avoid having his younger brother taken from him, and in the process meet a mysterious girl. The girl claimed that Shun was supposed to be her younger brother, and attempted to take Shun from him. When he refused the girl used strange energy to shock Ikki and force him to drop Shun. He never let go, even when he had passed out from the pain. As the girl tried to claim Shun she was repelled by a mysterious energy. Unable to take him, she left but not before leaving behind a star shaped necklace with the words ‘Yours Ever’ on it… Ikki eventually woke up, but had not memory of what had happened. He assumed the necklace had come from their mother.
Eventually they were caught, and along with several other orphans, were taken to live with an old man named Kido Mitsumasa. He had not taken them in out of kindness though, even though they were children all of them were forced into brutal physical training. During this time Shun was a crybaby who was always protected by his older brother, something the others would tease him about. Kido was cruel to them, but spoiled his granddaughter. \When Shun was six the orphans were told that they were going to be sent to different training camps around the world to train to become Saints, warriors of the Goddess Athena. After they had earned their cloths, they would return with them to Japan. Each of them drew a slip of paper out a box to determine what training camp they would be going to. Shun drew Death Queen Island as his destination, but after hearing about it’s horrors Ikki stepped in and took Shun’s place. Shun was then sent to Andromeda Island.
Life on Andromeda Island was harsh and Shun might have given up but he remembered that he would see his brother only after he had earned is cloth. His teacher, Albiore and a girl training to gain the Chameleon Cloth, June, supported him though and eventually he was able to take the test to earn the Andromeda Bronze Cloth. The test consisted of being chained to a pair of rocks and using the force of his cosmo to hold back the sea and stop himself from drowning. Once he had passed the test he got ready to leave. As he was saying goodbye to his Master he demonstrated that he had learned to control his cosmo…and crumbled a small cliff in the bargin.
Back in Japan he was disappointed to find that not only had his brother not returned from Death Queen Island but all of the orphans who had returned as Saints were being forced to fight in a tournament, one that would decide who would wear the Sagittarius Gold cloth. Kido had died but his granddaughter Saori was determined to continue on in his stead.
Shun defeated Unicorn Jabu easily using the defensive power of his chains, but before their match ended his chains moved of their own accord, pointing toward the box containing the Gold Cloth and spelling our the word ‘Axia’. The arena then went dark and a light came from the box as a mysterious figure emerged. Shun’s chains attacked it, but when the figure caught the chains, Seiya revealed that it the new arrival was Phoenix Ikki. Shun was overjoyed that his brother was alive…until Ikki attacked him, declared he was going to kill all of them, rendered Wolf Nachi catatonic, then had his dark phoenix henchmen steal the Gold Cloth and left.
Shun, Seiya, Shiryu, and Hyoga all took off after Ikki and managed to stop him before he donned the Gold Cloth. However before the could do anything else, Ikki’s dark phoenix’s each stole one part of the cloth and took off in different directions. Shun and the other three each found and defeated a dark phoenix recovering the cloth part he was carrying but the others got away.
The next day Ikki sent a letter of challenge telling them to meet him in the a valley in a week if they wanted the cloth back. During that time he called the Black Saints, dark copies of Shun, Seiya, Shiryu and Shun. Each of the Black Saints was given a piece of the Gold Cloth and told to get back the parts the Bronze Saints had.
Shiryu goes to Jamir to see Mu, the only person able to repair Cloth. His Cloth, the Bronze Dragon Cloth and Seiya’s Cloth, the Bronze Pegasus Cloth had been damaged in the fights. Once there, Shiryu learns it takes blood to restore a cloth.
The Bronze Saints arrived and proceeded into a mountain. During the fights Shun killed Black Andromeda in order to say Seiya. When they reached Ikki, Shun knocked out his comrades, then told his brother to take his life if it would slack his bloodlust. A fight still broke out, and in the end the combined powers of the Bronze Saints were able to defeat Ikki. Wounded he told them about the hell he had experienced on Death Queen Island. Docrates, a Saint from sent by the Pope of Sanctuary, attacked them causing the ground to crack. Ikki fell started to fall into the crack but Shun saved him with his Nebula chains. However, when Docrates asked Ikki to join him, Ikki threw the helmet from the Gold Cloth, the only part Docrates and his men hadn’t been able to steal, to Seiya and started a landslide. Seiya held Shun back as Ikki was buried under the ground.
Back at Kido Saori’s mansion, Seiya the others were recovering when Docratese attacked. He kidnapped Saori and her butler Tatsumi to forced Seiya and the others to give up the gold helmet. They go to the coliseum where Docrates is to take Saori back. Shun drops a massive scoreboard on Docrates, then Hyoga and Seiya managed to defeat him together.
Not long after that an oil tanker his high jacked by a group of exiled ‘Ghost Saints’. They demanded the gold helmet or they blow up the oil tanker and all the hostages. When the Bronze Saints reach the tanker they are confused by the illusions that one of the Ghost Saints uses and the gold helmet is stolen. They go to the island the Ghost Saints have been using as a base, and managed to get the helmet back after defeating the Ghost Saints.
Saori decides to take the gold helmet and go into hiding in a remote mountain cabin. Shun goes with her as Seiya and Hyoga go back to their training places to look for information on the Pope of Sanctuary. While they are in hiding someone burns down Saori’s mansion and the coliseum. Shun manages to convince Saori no to reveal herself, but Tatsumi ignores his advices and leaves, only to be capture by the enemy. He reveals their hiding place and their new enemy, the Flame Saint attacks. Shun manages to hold his own even as the Flame Saint causes a forest fire, but is distracted when he realizes the cabin Saori is hiding in is on fire. The fire then penetrates the defensive perimeter of his chains and engulf him. Ikki, alive and well, turns up in time to save him.
After everyone returns to Tokyo, Saori goes to visit her mansion while the Saints go off on their own. Seiya is attacked by a Silver Saint, an assassin sent by the Pope. He manages to defeat him. Seiya’s teacher, Aquila Marin, leaves a message for him in the sand ’Guard Athena’. Everyone returned to the coliseum to discuss what it could mean. Tatsumi is the one who answers them, revealing that the duty of the Saints was to guard Athena, and that Saori is the reincarnation of the goddess. She isn’t really Kido -’s granddaughter either.
Kido had always been fascinated by ancient Greece. One day while visiting some ruins in Athens, he meets a dying young man. This was Sagittarius Aiolos, who was sheltering Saori in his arms. He told Kido all about Athena and the Saints, then told him that the Pope currently in Sanctuary was a fake who wanted to kill Athena, and after begging Kido to take care of his goddess, dies from the wounds he received while saving her.
As Shun and the other Bronze Saints are still trying to absorb this, Centarus Babel arrives and attacks them. They have some trouble with him, but are saved by the Steel Saints, young men wearing artificial Cloths. Kido had them created so they could assist the Saints. It is decided that everyone except for Ikki, who has disappeared, will go the Sanctuary in Greece. Before they reach it, the plane they are on crashes, brought down by more Silver Saints. They fight a man named Perseus Algol who can use his shield to turn people to stone. Seiya, Shun and Hyoga are all turned to stone. His finally defeated by Shiryu who destroys his eyesight in order to avoid being turned to stone.
Back in Japan doctors are able to do nothing for Shiryu’s eyesight, so he returns to China, the place he trained. Saori is kidnapped by birds controlled by Crow Jamian. Everyone goes after her to save her, and Seiya manages to free her but in the process falls off a cliff. Saori wakes up at the bottom of the cliff, unharmed because Seiya had shielded her, and he is now unconscious. They are attacked but Saori defends Seiya, her cosmo causing the crows to bow to her, then turn and attack their master. Jamian falls off a cliff. Shun and Hyoga drive off the other Silver Saint. As they are leaving they are attacked by two more Silver Saints. Shun and Hyoga attack but end up having their feet linked together by a chain, then they are tossed over a cliff. The chain catches on a branch saving them. The Silver Saints try to attack Saori to get at Seiya, but Ikki shows up in time to save her. He defeats one Silver Saint, then Shun and Hyoga climb up and defeat the other one.
After he recovers, Seiya sets out to visit Mu and find a cure for Shiryu’s eyes. He manages to find some healing water which doesn’t appear to work. After returning to Japan, Seiya collapses because of fever and is hospitalized. He is attacked, escapes the hospital, and then meets Gold Saint Leo Aioria who has been sent to kill him. Aioria is the younger brother of Aiolos, the man who saved Athena and is no called a traitor at Sanctuary since the Pope has said that Aiolos tried to kill Athena. Aioria reveals that there are actually twelve Gold Cloths, one for each sign of the zodiac. Aioria tires to kill Seiya, but Seiya is shielded by the Sagittarius Cloth. Saori then arrives and upon seeing her, and hearing his brothers spirit admonishing him, Aioria accepts Saori as his goddess. It is then decided that they should head to Sanctuary to confront the Pope.
On the plane to Sanctuary, the Bronze Saints discuss the Pope and come to the conclusion that he must be the Gemini Saint. When they reach Sanctuary, a man in a cloak meets them. As they walk, they meet Shiryu who has learned to use is Cosmo to sense other peoples energy and has come back to join the fight. When they reach the steps the stranger throws off his cloak and shoots arrows at them. Most of the arrows turn out to be mere illusions but one is real and hits Saori. Seiya, Shun, Shiryu and Hyoga all attack the man, Stigga Ptolemy, at once. As he dies Ptolemy reveals that Athena is still alive, but they only have twelve ours until the gold arrow he fired reaches Saori’s heart and kills her. He also says the only one can remove the arrow is the Pope. But to reach him the have to pass through the temples guarded by the Gold Saints, the strongest of all the Saints.
The Bronze Saints set out up the steps and reach the first temple, that of Aries. Much to their surprise the Gold Saint guarding it is Mu! He repairs their Cloth since it had been weakened by all the battles, then tells them the reason that the Gold Saints are so strong is because they possess the seventh sense. In order to beat ht Gold Saints, they too will have to figure out how to use the seventh sense.
The second temple is that of Taurus. Seiya fights with the Aldebaran, the gold Saint that’s guarding it but after he knocks of one of the horns on Aldebaran’s helmet he allowed to pass. Hyoga, Shiryu and Shun all attack together and are then allowed to pass.
They arrive at the third temple to find Seiya running out of it. He thought he had been running straight but the space inside the temple has been warped so they can’t reach the other side of it. Then the temple seems to split into two separate building. They decided to split into two groups, Seiya and Shiryu go into one building while Hyoga and Shun entered the other. Both groups encountered what appeared to be the Gemini Saint, but Shiryu was able to tell the one he and Seiya were facing was just an illusion. Hyoga launched an attack at the Gemini Cloth, only to have it be reflected back at him and Shun. Eventually the Gemini Cloth attacked and tired to send them through Another Dimension. Shun was saved by the Nebula Chains, but he couldn’t stop Hyoga from being pulled into the other dimension. He then managed to gain a new attack called Thunder Wave that managed to skip dimensions and nearly hit the Pope, who had been controlling the Gemini Cloth remotely.
In Cancer Temple Shiryu managed to defeat Deathmask, in the process awakening his seventh sense and causing the healing water Seiya had brought him to activate, healing his eyesight. In Leo temple Seiya faced off against a brainwashed Aioria. All three regrouped before the headed up to the sixth temple, Virgo. Aioria wandered them that Virgo Shaka as so strong he was known as the Man Closest to God. Shaka managed to knock everyone out, but Ikki arrived in time to stop him from killing them. After nearly loosing, Ikki gained the seventh sense, then used his cosmo to blow himself up, taking Shaka with him. A stunned Shun drops to his knees in disbelief. The others decided to go on ahead of him, telling him to catch up when he recovers. Then Shun hears his brothers spirit speaking to him, and he continues on determined to stand up for himself in memory of his brother.
There is no Saint in Libra since Shiryu’s teacher, Roshi, is the Libra Saint at he is still in China. However inside the find Hyoga trapped in a giant block of ice. Hyoga had battle with Aquarius Camus, the man who had taught his teacher, and Camus had put him in the Freezing Coffin because he didn’t consider strong enough. Shiryu manages to break Hyoga out of the Freezing Coffin by using his cosmo and the sword from the Libra Cloth. Hyoga was almost dead by the time they got him out, so Shun stayed behind to try and revive him. The Andromeda Saint used his own cosmo to try and raise Hyoga’s body temperature and thus revive him. He pushed himself so hard that he actually achieved seventh sense, but nearly died in the process.
In Scorpio, Shiryu and Seiya faced off against Milo. He had used his attack called Restriction to render them unable to move, when a revived Hyoga turned up carrying and unconscious Shun. He gave Shun to Seiya and told them he would face Milo. The others continued on. Hyoga battled Milo, and the Scorpio Saint, impressed by Hyoga’s tenacity and belief in Athena, let him go on after healing him.
Sagittarius had no Saint since it had been Aiolos who had guarded it. Instead they faced series of traps, and at the end an arrow fired from the Sagittarius Cloth hit the wall and shattered, revealing the words Aiolos had written on it. Moved, the four Bronze Saints vowed to save Athena.
Capricorn was guarded by Shura, the Gold Saint who had fatally wounded Aiolos. Shiryu stayed behind while the other continued on ahead. After a long battle Shiryu used a forbidden technique, using his cosmo to launch Shura and himself into outer space, willing to die if it mean taking out the Capricorn Saint.
In Aquarius Hyoga stayed behind to face Camus. During the battle Hyoga gained the seventh sense, then used Camus’s own attack, the Aurora Execution, on him. The two attacks clashed, and both Camus and Hyoga fell.
The last temple was Pisces where Shun told Seiya to go on ahead while he faced Aphrodite. Aphrodite used roses for weapons, and managed to destroy the Andromeda Cloth. Without his Nebula Chains, Shun was forced use the power Nebula Storm to defeat Aphrodite. However, Aphrodite managed to launch one last attack, a white rose that pierced Shun’s heart.
Seiya arrived at the main temple and encountered the Pope. After taking off his mask, Gemini Saga told Seiya that he couldn’t remove the arrow, but that if Seiya took the shield from the statue of Athena standing at the back of the temple and used to reflect the sunlight down onto Athena, the arrow would disappear. Then Saga urged Seiya to hurry, as he clutched his head in pain. But Seiya wasn’t fast enough reach the stairs that lead to the back of the temple. Saga’s hair turned grey and his eyes turned red, then he attacked Seiya. Seiya was hopelessly outmatched my the Gemini Saint.
Down in Aries, Mu was surprised to receive hear Shaka asking him for help. When Ikki had tried to blow himself and Shaka up, he hadn’t actually killed either of them, he had just blasted them into another dimension. Shaka was able to get himself back, but he would need Mu’s help to save Ikki as well.
Shaka and Ikki appeared back in Virgo temple. Shaka woke Ikki and after healing him told him to go help Seiya. Ikki arrived in time to save Seiya from being killed, and urged Seiya to go save Athena. The Phoenix Saint managed to hold back Saga long enough for Seiya to reach the stature and reflect the last light of the setting sun on Athena just before time ran out. Athena awoke just as Saga began to attack Seiya.
Athena then started up the steps, the Gold Saints who were still alive choosing to accompany her as she reached their temples. At Capricorn she found and unconscious Shiryu laying on the ground and used her newly awakened power to revive him. She did the same thing for Hyoga and Shun when she reached them.
With the Gold Saints supporting the Bronze Saints they all made their way to the top of the stairs on confronted Saga. Their arrival stopped him from killing Seiya and Saori confronted him. The Bronze Saints combined their cosmos into one last strike at Saga. It fails to kill him, but destroys the evil cosmo that was controlling him. Returned to sanity, Saga kills himself to repent for his sins.
An unspecified amount of times passes after this. Saori returns to Japan and the Cloths of the Bronze Saints are repaired. Then an enemy attacks Sanctuary, passes through Aries from which Mu is absent, then attacks and defeats Aldebaran.
Back in Japan Saori is out with Nachi, Jabu and the rest of the minor Bronze Saints when they are attacked by the same enemy. That attack is foiled by Seiya, Shiryu, and Shun who arrive with newly redesigned armor. The enemy reveals that he is a God Warrior of Odin from a place called Asgard. Athena decides to head to Asgard to see what is going on.
Once there they meet Hyoga who has Freya, the younger sister of Hilda the leader of the God Warriors with him. Freya reveals that Hilda used to be kind person. It was her prayers that kept the ice packs from melting. However one day Hilda became possessed by a strange ring and has since become cruel. Also, because Hilda hasn’t been praying, the ice packs are starting to melt and threaten to flood the world. Athena choose to take Hilda’s place, but because this isn’t the way her powers were meant to be used, she will only be able to stand it a short while before she dies. Seiya and the others set out to free Hilda from being possessed.
Along the way Seiya fights with Phecda Gamma Thor, Hyoga fights with Merak Beta Hagen, Shiryu fights with Alioth Epsilon Fenrir. All of the God Warriors are defeated and killed. Shun fights with Benetnasch Eta Mime but is defeated and is only saved when Ikki returns to help him. Ikki ends up killing Mime, but collapse because of his wounds
Almost everyone is defeated by the God Warrior Megrez Delta Alberich, but with the help of his master Shiryu manages to kill him. Shun later fights against Mizar Zeta Syd, the warrior who attacked Aldebaran. Shun is forced to use Nebula Storm with Syd, and would have won but he is attacked by Syd’s twin, Alcor Zeta Bud. Ikki arrives and we found out that Bud was abandoned at birth. He claims to hate Syd and was waiting for Syd to die so he could become the ’real’ God Warrior since no one knows the Alcor Zeta warrior exists. Bud was always playing Syd’s shadow and he was the one who really defeated Aldebaran. Ikki forces But to see that he really does care about his twin, and full of guilt, Bud walks out into a snowstorm with the dying Syd.
Everyone faces the final God Warrior, Dubhe Alpha Siegfried. Eventually Seiya manages to don Odin’s armor and destroys the ring that was controlling Hilda, freeing her from it’s control. It’s then that Athena is kidnapped and Siren Sorrento, one of Poseidon’s Mariners. He reveals that Poseidon was the one behind Hilda’s possession and that the God of the Sea. Siegfried sacrifices himself to kill Sorrento, using his cosmo to propel both of them into the sky, much like Shiryu had done to Shura.
As Poseidon sends storms to ravage the world, the Bronze Saints set out to find away to save Athena. The giant whorl pool that appeared when Athena was kidnapped is the gate way to Atlantis, Poseidon’s base, so Shun and Seiya jump in.
Once in Atlantis they learn that the reincarnation for Poseidon is Julian Solo, a young man who once asked Athena to marry him. Athena has agreed to act as a sort of sacrifice to keep the world from being flooded, and is trapped in the main pillar of Atlantis. In order to save her, the Bronze Saints must destroy the other seven oceanic pillars first, each of which is guarded by a Mariner.
Seiya defeats Seahorse Baian, then destroys the pillar he as guarding with one of the weapons from the Libra Cloth, which Kiki Mu’s apprentice had brought on Roshi’s orders. Shun defeats Scylla Io and destroys his pillar with another of the Libra Cloths weapons. Shiryu defeats Chrysaor Krishna, and destroys another pillar. Hyoga is forced to face Kraken Isaac. Isaac had trained along side him when they were younger and Hyoga had thought he had died while saving him from drowning. Isaac had survived but lost and eyes and took one of Hyoga’s eyes in revenge. Hyoga manages to defeat Isaac and destroy his pillar.
Seiya, Shun, Shiryu and Hyoga all face Lyumnades Kaza. After seeing the other three unconscious, Shun is approached by Kaza, who had use illusion to make himself look like people he sees in his opponents mind. Kaza looks like Ikki but Shun’s chains warn him that it’s a fake. Even know it’s really an enemy, Shun is unable to attack his brother. Ikki shows up after Shun is knocked out and defeats him.
Shun faces off against Sorrento, but doesn’t really want to fight him. Although he uses Nebula Storm, Shun is unable to defeat the Mariner. But Sorrento does not want to fight Athena’s Saints. He is suspicious of the leader of the Mariners, the Sea Dragon. Ikki confronts the Sea Dragon who is revealed to be Kanon, Saga’s younger twin brother. Saga locked Kanon in Cape Sounion when Kanon suggest he kill Athena. Kanon managed to escape into the sea after nearly drowning as sea water filled the small cave. He was the one who had awoken Poseidon. Sorrento shows up and distracts Kanon, allowing Ikki to destroy the pillar he was guarding.
The Bronze Saints attempt to save Athena, but are stopped by Poseidon. As they fight against him, Kanon tries to stop them, revealing that Poseidon was not full awake inside Julian Solo and that he had been manipulating things so he could get his revenge on Sanctuary. The Sagittarius Cloth arrives to shield Seiya, while the Aquarius Cloth does the same for Hyoga and the Libra Cloth does the same for Shiryu. Seiya manages to free Saori, and she seals Poseidon away in an urn. Kanon begins to realize he was wrong about Athena.
Atlantis collapses, but Sorrento, Kanon and Julian Solo survive.
Another unspecified amount of time passes and the Bronze Saints separate. Shun is in the Kido mansion in Japan, Hyoga has returned to Siberia, and Shiryu has gone to China. Seiya decides at some point to return to Sanctuary to have his Cloth fixed by Mu.
Roshi, sitting near Rozan Falls, noticed that the seal holding Hades in check has been broken. At the same time Saori has a nightmare concerning Hades. Shun and the others are attacked by Saints that have died. These resurrected Saints say that they have been brought back to life by Hades.
Mu is guarding his temple when a cloaked figure confronts him and demands passage. Mu refuses at first, but then sees the strangers face and drops to one knee. The figure says that he is Mu’s Master. More cloaked figures arrive and are revealed to be the Gold Saints that had died. They have been revived by Hades and say there are going to take Athena’s head.
Aphrodite and Deathmask attempt to get past Mu but are stopped by Mu. They start to fight, but Seiya show up. Mu tells him to leave since Athena doesn’t want the Bronze Saints involved because they could be killed. Seiya gets mad and attacks Deathmask. Mu tells him his going to kill him, then pretends to attack Seiya while in reality teleporting him away. Then Mu attacks and kills Deathmask and Aphrodite. The leader of the resurrected Saints uses his power to hold Mu while ordering Saga, Camus and Shura to run ahead. After they have left, someone lights the fire clock and then Roshi appears. He frees Mu then tells him to go ahead while he deals with the leader. The man in the cloak turns out to be Shion, the former Pope who was killed by Saga. It is also revealed that they are both survivors of the last Holy War against Hades, 243 years ago.
Mu continues upward. As he passes through Taurus he finds Aldebaran standing in the center of the temple. As he approaches him, Mu realizes the Taurus Saint is already dead. The resurrected Gold Saints aren’t the only invaders. Several Specters, warrior of Hades are here as well. One of them, Deep Niobe is the one who killed Aldebaran. Mu defends himself from Niobe’s attack but doesn’t attack back, telling the Specter that he had received so much damage from Aldebaran’s attack he was already dead. Mu walks away and Niobe dies.
The three resurrected Gold Saints have reached Gemini temple by now. They expect to pass through unhindered but were shocked when someone began to use the cosmo to manipulate the space inside the temple. The Gemini Cloth appeared before them and Saga struck at it, thinking his brother was inside. When it was revealed that there was nothing inside the armor, Saga became angry and sent a blast of cosmo toward the main temple. The blast nearly hit Kanon but he dodged it and a large crater was left in the floor. Saga and the others were then able to pass through the temple.
In the fourth temple, they one again hoped to pass through easily but were stopped by several illusions. After seeing the image of a Buddha, Saga figures out that it is Shaka who has them trapped and sends a Cosmo blast toward Virgo temple. A large portion of the temple is destroyed and the resurrected Gold Saints are able to pass on.
Down below Roshi and Shion have continued their stand off. They start to fight, but Shion has the body of an eighteen year old due to Hades resurrection and Dohko has the body of an old man. Shiryu arrives and attempts to aid his master, but Roshi tells him to leave. Then Roshi reveals that he received the gift of Misopetha-Menos from Athena. It slowed down his metabolism so that he only aged one day for every year that went by. Roshi then transform back into his younger form. He tells Shiryu to leave and the dragon Saint does.
Meanwhile Mu has reached the next temple. Inside he is attacked my a group of Specters. He is paralyzed by an unseen force and is at their mercy until they are stopped by the Specter who is responsible for paralyzing Mu. He tells the others to go on ahead because Mu is his prey. The Specter turns out to be a caterpillar like creature who uses telepathy. It traps Mu in a cocoon, which is why Shiryu manages to pass through the temple without noticing either of them. Mu breaks out of the cocoon to see the Specter has also trapped itself in a cocoon. When the Specter comes out of the cocoon it is human-shaped and introduces itself as Papillion My. Mu battles with the Specter and eventually defeats him. Outside his temple Mu sees corpse of several Specters without their Surplices.
At Leo temple Aioria confronts a large group of Specters. He kills several that attempt to get past him, but Worm Raime uses his tentacles to hold the Leo Saint and allow his fellow Specters to past. Aioria gets mad and manages to kill Raime. He remembers that there were several familiar cosmos among the Specters although he didn’t recognize them. Shiryu arrives at Leo.
Meanwhile the Specters arrive at Virgo Temple. They try to attack him, Shaka stops them and kills several of their number. Three Specters step forward to and attack him, this time managing to wound him. Shaka then reveals that those three are really the resurrected Gold Saints who had been trying to sneak through Virgo. They claim they will kill Shaka if they have to. Shaka lets them pass. He kills the Specters then stops Saga and the others asking what their true intentions are. When they insist they are trying to kill Athena, Shaka says he will stop them at the risk of his life.
Shaka leads them to a garden behind Virgo Temple and they start to fight. Eventually Shaka unleashes his Ten Bu Ho Rin attack and begins to remove the five sense of the resurrected Gold Saints one by one. Backed into a corner, they are forced to used the Athena Exclamation. It is a forbidden attack that is said to have the forced of a miniature big bang, which as why Athena sealed it away. After Shaka is hit with the Athena Exclamation he is still standing, walks over to the twin salas that are in the garden, then sits down and writes his final words on flower petals with his blood. Then his body turns to dust. Saga says that Shaka deserves to know they’re real reasons but they see that they are being watched and are forced to remain silent.
On the other side of the doors to the garden, Mu, Aioria and the Bronze Saints have gathered. Mu will not let them pass since he senses that Shaka is prepared to die. As the others are protesting, the door starts to open and the resurrected Gold Saints enter. Saga hands Mu the 108 beads that Shaka was carrying. Aioria, incensed, attacks the three. After he knocks them around for a while, Milo to arrives and attacks them as well. Driven to reach Athena no matter what the three resurrected Saints prepare to use Athena Exclamation again.
Up in the main temple Athena receives the petals with Shaka’s last words. They read ‘Arayashkiki’, upon reading this Athena says she understands why Shaka died.
Meanwhile, Mu, Aioria and Milo decide to release their own Athena Exclamation to counteract the one from the resurrected Gold Saints. Mu says the forced of the two attacks colliding will destroy Sanctuary. When they two forces collide at first, they are equal in strength, the destructive force was being held in check as the warred against each other. Both sides new that there was even small increase in power from either side the force would be unleashed. In order to advert this the Bronze Saints interfered and used their power to send the power of the combined Athena Exclamation’s into the sky. The blast still destroyed much of the Virgo temple and knocked out all of the Saints.
The Gold Saints were the first to regain consciousness. Milo spotted Saga, still alive and was going to kill him when Athena used telepathy to contact the Gold Saints and told them to bring the resurrected Saints to her. She then told Kanon to bring her the object that was under the throne in the main temple.
When they resurrected Saints were brought before her, she had Kanon present his brother Saga with the box that had been under the throne. Inside was the Golden dagger Saga had tried to kill her with when she was a baby. She then smiled and told Saga he would get a chance to fulfill his wish. Then, after placing the dagger in Saga’s hands, Athena slit her own throat.
Seiya and the other Bronze Saints feel Athena die and rush toward where she is. When they arrive all they find is a pool of blood. As they grieve, Shion appears. Shiryu remembers his voice and they all attack him, but he knocks they away easily, then says he will explain everything and his order as Pope is for them to go to Hades castle and destroy him. When the confused Bronze Saints accuse him of being a traitor he says that he serves Athena, even in death. Then he says that the whole reason the resurrected Gold Saints were attacking was the statue of Athena behind the temple. When Shion throws Athena’s blood on it, the statue shrinks and becomes small enough to pick up in one hand. Shion tells them that the statue is actually Athena’s Holy Cloth. In order to get it to her the resurrected Gold Saints accepted Hades offer. They realized they would have to fight the other Gold Saints, but they had been willing to do anything to sever Athena. When he tries to explain about Shaka’s death, Shion collapses. The life Hades gave to the resurrected Saints only lasts twelve hours. Shion says he will do one last thing for them and splashes Athena’s blood on the Bronze Cloths, causing them to evolve. As a last request Shion gives Athena’s cloth to Seiya and tells them to take it to her. The Bronze Saints leave for Hades Castle, following the cosmo trail of the Gold Saints how have gone on ahead of them.
At Hades Castle Saga is hold a large, cloth wrapped bundle. Hades reprehensive, a woman named Pandora, congratulates them on bring back Athena’s body. Saga asks that they be allowed to see Hades and tells Pandora he is the only person they will show Athena’s body too. A Specter, Frog Zelos, is suspicions and pulls away the cloth to reveal that it is empty except for a few blood stains. Saga says Athena’s body disappeared. Shura appears behind Pandora and Saga says that they don’t want to hurt her, but they will if she doesn’t take them to Hades. Pandora just smiles, as sunlight appears signaling the end of the twelve hour life possessed by the resurrected Saints. She then orders all Specters to return to the underworld leaves for the underworld herself after realizing that’s mostly likely where Athena really is.
Outside Aioria, Mu and Milo are being beaten by Wyvern Rhadamanthys, one of the three judges of the underworld. Zelos begins to kick at the unresponsive forms of Saga and the rest. Rhadamanthys explains that in Hades castle reduces the power of anyone not affiliated with the underworld and that the Gold Saints can only use one tenth of their power. Rhadamanthys easily beats the Gold Saints and tosses them into a pit that leads to the underworld. Inside, Rhadamanthys is tells Zelos to leave the Gold Saints alone since they have to leave, but Zelos keeps kicking them. The Bronze Saints arrive by crashing through the glass ceiling in the room, and Hyoga attacks Zelos. Then they rush to the resurrected Gold Saints who all turn into dust. The Bronze Saints vow to save Athena.
Zelos gets up and rushes to attack them, only to be blasted backward by Hyoga. When he asks for help, Rhadamanthys tells him to do it himself. Then Hyoga kills Zelos with Aurora Execution. Seiya challenges Rhadamanthys, but Rhadamanthys says that all four of them together are no match for him. The Wyvern Specter then wonders why they aren’t affected by the castles draining effect. Seiya tries to attack Rhadamanthys up is attacked by one of the Wyvern Specters underling instead. All four Bronze Saints end up being attacked. Rhadamanthys and his underlings descend toward the underworld. Seiya turns up and attacks one of the, Harpy Valentine, knocking both of them into the pit. The other three Bronze Saints turn up and are about to jump after them when they are stopped by Roshi, now called by his real name of Libra Dohko.
He explains that Athena and Shaka have both awakened the eight sense, the ability to go to the world of the dead while they are still alive. Neither of them really died, they just wanted Hades to think they did. As Hades castle starts to crumble around them Dohko tells the Bronze Saints in order to fight Hades in the underworld they will have to awaken their eighth sense, otherwise they will die. All of them jump in the pit that leads to the underworld.
Seiya wakes up on some rocks, and looks around. Seeing an unconscious Shun nearby he rushes over and shakes his friend. Shun comes to and is over joked to see Seiya, realizing that they must have achieved the eighth sense. As they walk Shun explains what had happened to Seiya. They reach the gateway to the underworld, a large stone arch. Inscribed on the top are the Greek words “Abandon Hope all ye who enter here’. Shun says the words are cruel and that all living creatures are entitled to Hope. Continuing on they reach a vast expansive of water. Seiya thinks it the Sea at first but Shun notices the strong current and realized it’s a river. Along the shore they see people crying out in anguish. Seiya tries to ask what’s wrong, but a voice tells him not to waste his breath. A boat approaches and the Specter in it introduces himself as Acheron Charon, ferryman of the underworld. He says the people along the bank are those who did nothing with their lives so aren’t evil enough to be let into Hell but not good enough to go to heaven either.
Then Charon notices that Shun and Seiya are alive. He realizes that they must be two of Athena’s Saints, since an alert has been issued saying that Athena is in the underworld. He attacks and knocks Seiya round but Shun stops him with his chain. Saying that fighting two of them at the same time requires too much effort, he agrees to take them across the river if they pay him. Shun gives him his ‘Yours Ever’ necklace over Seiya’s protests, saying that if giving up the necklace lets them avoid another battle then it’s worth it.
An hour later they reach the middle of the river, the deepest and coldest part. Charon then says the necklace only gets them to here and knocks Seiya into the river. Shun catches Seiya with his chain, and Charon tries to attack him but Seiya launches an attack of his own. He knocks Charon into the river, then Shun pulls him back to the boat. A drowning Charon yells that they won’t be able to find the other side without his help. Shun uses his chain to save Charon, saying they need his help and should trust him. Back on the boat, Charon demands that Seiya give back his oar, his main weapon. Seiya reluctantly does, only to have Charon laugh and knock him into the river again. Charon then attacks Shun, who blocks with his chain. After look into Shun’s eyes, Charon sighs and says he gives up. He says that Shun has pure trusting eyes, different from the eyes of most people he sees.
Charon takes them to the other side, explaining that this was the shore of the first prison. In total there are eight prisons in the underworld. When they leave the boat Charon once again attacks them, but Seiya sends him flying into his boat, which drifts out into the river.
After climbing many stairs Shun and Seiya reach the House of Judgment. Shun notices it’s very quiet here. A foot solider comes out and tells them to be quiet, that Rune who is the Chief Prosecutor of the Judge Minos hates noise.
Inside they meet Balrog Rune who shouts at the foot soldier for being to loud and the foot soldier leaves. Then he sets the large book down and asks for their names. After not finding their names, Rune asks them to repeat them. Seiya then loudly shouts that they are Pegasus Seiya and Andromeda Shun, Saints of Athena who have come to defeat Hades. Just then the foot solider comes running back in, shouting about how Saints of Athena are in the underworld. Rune kills him for being loud. Then he turns his attention to Seiya and Shun.
Rune says even though they are still alive, he can uncover the sins they bear. Seiya protests that they don’t have any. Rune uses his power to remind Seiya of all the bad things he did in his childhood, like making girls cry and beating people up. Then Rune says that Seiya greatest sin is that he’s killed many people. In order to punish him, Rune opens a portal and sends Seiya to the sixth prison, a boiling lake of blood. Shun sends out his chain and uses them to catch Seiya and pull him back the court room. An angry Rune confronts Shun…then pulls back in terror for a second. Then he calms down and says that the hair color isn’t the same as ‘him’ but ‘he’ and Shun look alike. Then he says he will judge Shun, who has also killed people. Shun uses his chains to stop the while Rune was going to use. Shun says even the purest man has to kill to survive and asks Rune is a god to judge which people are guilty or innocent. Rune says he is not a god, he just sends people to the appropriate hell. He sends his whip, which Shun attempts to block with his chain, but it doesn’t work. Rune says the whip of the Balrog grows tighter for each sin that has been committed. Shun thinks that if his being alive means people will die, maybe it’s better for him to die instead. Rune jerks on the whip.
As he stares at Shun’s dismembered body, Rune remakes that the Saints were pure hearted even though they were enemies. Then he looks down and Shun’s head and says it looks so much like ‘him’. Then he picks up the head thinking maybe he should bury it…and the head starts shouting at him, asking where his body is. Rune, panicking, calls the head your majesty. Thinking that he body had been blown into the valley, he runs out of the courtroom. Outside he runs into Rhadamanthys. When asked what he was doing Rune frantically starts speaking about the head, only to have Rhadamanthys ask him ‘What head?’. Looking down Rune realizes he is only hold his own helmet.
Realizing that he was trapped in an illusion, Rune at first thinks it was the bronze Saints, but Rhadamanthys says that there is no way that would be possible. Sensing he was being watched, Rune sends out his whip and catches Kanon, who was cloaking himself and is wearing the Gemini Cloth. Kanon kills Rune, then confront Rhadamanthys. Seiya and Shun interrupted them, but Kanon knocks them away and berates Shun for giving up. Then he sends the Bronze Saints ahead. He and Rhadamanthys fight, and Kanon almost uses a technique to brainwash Rhada to take him to Hades, but the Wyvern Specters’ underlings turn up and let him escape. Kanon then kills all of them.
Shun and Seiya reach the second prison. Inside the see Cerberus, who devours all those souls sentenced to come there, and Sphinx Pharaoh it’s guardian. A after Cerberus fails to kill the Bronze Saints, Pharaoh tries to attack but is stopped by Lyra Orpee, a legendary Silver Saint who is said to be more powerful than the Gold Saints. But he only stopped Pharaoh because he wants to kill Seiya and Shun himself. He is working for Hades now.
Orphee made it seemed like he had killed Shun and Seiya, then carried their unconscious forms to a field of flowers behind the prison. Upon waking up, Shun and Seiya see a beautiful woman who has been turned to stone from the shoulders down. She speaks and says she Eurydice, Orphee’s lover. Her story is a retailing of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Orphee though he saw the sun as he was leading her out, and when he turned around she turned to stone. He has chosen to stay by her side in the underworld ever since. She asks the Bronze Saints to take Orphee away because she doesn’t want to see him trapped her.
Orphee returns and tells Shun and Seiya to flee if they want to live. A bright like, like sunlight, appears then and takes Athena’s cloth away. The light is caused by Pharaoh. Orphee asks if Pharaoh was the one who tricked him. When Pharaoh confirms he was, an angry Orphee attacks him. After a long battle Orphee realizes he shouldn’t have tried to bring someone back from the dead and kills Pharaoh. After bidding goodbye to Eurydice, Orphee agrees to take the Bronze Saints to where Hades is.
It turns out that Orphee was suppose to play his lyre for Hades that day. He smuggles Shun and Seiya in by hiding them in a large trunk he has filled with flowers. These he claims, are a present for Lord Hades. A suspicious Pandora uses the trident she carries to stab the box, but nothing happens. Meanwhile, Eurydice is telling Kanon where the Bronze Saints went.
As Orphee gets ready to play his lyre, the three Judges of the Underworld arrive as well. They have to go ahead with the plan though, so when Hades appears, seated on a throne behind a curtain, Orphee uses his cosmo to play a song that puts everyone to sleep. As Orphee tries to approach Hades, he is attacked from behind by Rhadamanthys who hasn’t been put to sleep. Rhada is then attacked by Seiya, who has come out of the chest. While Rhada is distracted Orphee starts up the stairs toward Hades. The curtain blows back and all the Saints are shocked to realize that Hades looks exactly like Shun! Orphee attacks Hades, only for him to be an illusion. Then Rhadamanthys attacks and starts beating Orphee. He uses the Silver Saint as a shield, but Orphee begs them to attack no matter what happens to him. Seiya attacks Rhada then ruses to the dying Orphee’s side. But Rhadamanthys is still alive and is about to attack…when he is stopped by the voice of Hades. Everyone turns to find Shun standing there, his hair now red. Rhada and Seiya realize that Shun has become Hades!
Meanwhile Kanon, with Shiryu and Hyoga, are making their way toward the others. They defeat several Specters. Back at Hades palace Rhadamanthys reports that they have taken Seiya to Cocytus. Pandora says Shun has gotten rid of his Cloth and is now dressed as Hades, and that he is asleep. Pandora orders Rhada and the other judges to get rid of the rest of the Saints.
Kanon and his party encounter a Specter guarding a raft. They need to get across the dark lake, but Hyoga and Shiryu are easily defeated. Kanon then kills the Specter and takes the raft. At Hades palace Pandora bandages Shun’s hand and calls him her ‘Beloved younger brother’. Hyoga and Shiryu wake up on the raft. Sensing Kanon they run after him, only to realize that he has already defeated his enemy. Rhadamanthys shows up. He tells them that Shun is Hades. Kanon tells the Bronze Saints to go ahead while he fights the Judge and they leave. Kanon is beating Rhada when the other two Judges show up. Kanon is loosing when Phoenix Ikki arrives. Kanon tells him that Shun is Hades. At first Ikki denies it, but when Pandora is mentioned he remembers her from long ago when she tired to take Shun from him. Then Ikki realizes that Shun is probably ready to die here. He then tells the three judges that he is going to kill them.
Garuda Aiakos and Ikki are fighting when Hades-Shun wakes, sensing Ikki’s cosmo. Pandora informs him that it is Phoenix. Wonder why the Cosmo feels so familiar, Hades-Shuns says he wants to meet Phoenix. Ikki is beating his opponent when Pandora teleports him to Hades palace. When Ikki arrives he calls out of Hades-Shun, but Pandora shocks him with her trident for being impudent. She tells him that the person he sees is no longer his brother. She fully restores his memories of what happened when she tired to take Shun years ago. When Hades returns to fight Athena he must inhabit the body of the purest human possible. This reincarnation it was suppose to be Shun. The necklace Pandora left was suppose to be the link that marked Shun as Hades forever. Ikki tries to move forward but Pandora shocks him. In an attempt to free Shun, Ikki uses his powers to destroy the ‘Yours Ever’ necklace. Then he starts toward Hades-Shun. A shocked Pandora tires to stop him, but Ikki knocks her aside and says he will kill any evil, even a woman.
Ikki starts slapping Hades-Shun in an attempt to bring Shun back but Hades informs him all he’s doing is hurt his brothers body, and that the only way to remove the his soul from Shun’s body is to kill Shun. Then Hades uses his powers to knock Ikki away, before he explains that his ultimate goal is to cause the Greatest Eclipse, an alignment of the planets that will plunge the earth into eternal darkness and make it a part of the Underworld. Ikki attacks Hades, but Hades just tosses him away with his power, but Ikki keeps getting back to his feet. After several attacks Hades suddenly realizes that Shun’s body isn’t obeying him anymore. One of his own hands comes up to his throat and starts to strangle him.
Ikki sees an image of Shun’s soul behind his body. Shun tells Ikki not to worry about him, but kill his body and Hades at the same time. Ikki realized that Shun had come here to die. Like the Andromeda in the myth, Shun is prepared to sacrifice himself to save everyone. Ikki says that to Shun if even one person is saved by his suffering then it’s worth it.
Ikki is preparing to attack Shun when Pandora stabs him in the back. She is then knocked away by the Nebula Chains that have come to Ikki’s defense. Shun tells Ikki to hurry and not be sad. He’s happy if his life can save the lives of the millions of people on Earth. Ikki rushes toward Shun to a attack him. Meanwhile Seiya has a nightmare about what’s happening while Hyoga and Shiryu feel like something is wrong.
Ikki’s fist stops in front of Shun, blood dripping from it. He couldn’t bring himself to harm his young brother. Hades taunts Ikki about this being his only chance and he choose is brother over saving the world. Shun’s hair turns black and Hades says that Shun’s body is no entirely his.
Hades blasts Ikki away and tells Pandora to take him way. He then sense a cosmo that he recognizes…. Pandora tells a specter to take care of Ikki’s body. Hades orders Pandora away and asks that he no be disturbed. He is very annoyed when someone enters the throne room, but it turns out to be Virgo Shaka. I Cocytus Seiya is confronted by the Specter who had brought Ikki there, Harpy Valentine. He says all Saints end up here. Seiya tricks Valentine into getting him out of the ice by revealing he hold Athena’s cloth. He then defeats Valentine.
Shaka tires to attack Hades but it stopped by Athena who commands him not to harm him. She does not want Shun’s body harmed. Shaka says it’s not Shun but Athena still tells him to stand back. She walks up to Hades and begs him to halt the eclipse. He says it’s not possible, but Athena offers her life in exchange and Hades agreed to spare the earth. He tosses Pandora’s trident to Shaka and tells him to slay Athena. Shaka throws the trident at Hades instead. Athena catches it without turning it around and tells Shaka she doesn’t want him harmed. Then she hands the trident to Hades. Hades tires to stab her, but Athena catches the trident and says she won’t let anyone die, even Shun! Upon touching Athena’s blood Hades cries out in pain and Athena feels Shun’s cosmo. She drives out Hades soul, and then reveals that Hades real body isn’t on earth so he can’t revive in this era anymore. Hades says he can’t give up on his dream, then rushes toward Athena.
Seiya arrives in Hades throne room to find an unconscious Shun in his Andromeda Cloth. Seiya is glad Shun is back to himself, but Athena isn’t there. Shun says he sense her cosmo going toward the back. They go through to the back of Hades palace and find a massive wall. A blood drenched Shaka says that it’s the last border of hell and Athena followed Hades past it. But mortals can’t go through the Wailing Wall, only gods can. Even Shaka hasn’t been able to damage it. Shaka realizes Elysium. Seiya says they have to get through, but Shaka says only sunlight, which can’t reach into the underworld, can break the way. Seiya tries to sacrifice himself to get through the wall, but is stopped by Shaka. Shaka says he will sacrifice himself so Athena can get her Cloth.
Back in Cocytus the Gold Saints feel Athena’s cosmo and revive. Shaka is about to sacrifice himself when he is stopped by Dohko. Milo, Aioria and Mu turned up too. Dohko remembers that they can create sunlight in the underworld by using the power of the Gold Saints. He gives each of the Gold Saints one of the weapons from the Libra Cloth.
Back in Sanctuary the other Bronze Saints notice the sun is starting to eclipse. Golden lights shoot from the temples of the dead Gold Saints.
By the Wailing Wall the Gold Saints have had their powers reflected by the wall. As they despair the Cloth of the dead Gold Saints arrive. Kanon feels the Gemini cloths resonating with the others. Rhadamanthys shows up, but Kanon just sends his Gold Cloth away, saying he’s sending it to his brother. Then he sacrifices himself to take Rhadamanthys down. Hyoga and Shiryu sense Kanon die.
By the wailing wall the Gemini cloth arrives, and then the dead Gold Saints all return to life. Then Dohko tells Shun and Seiya that the Gold Saints are going to sacrifice themselves to pierce the Wailing Wall. The Bronze Saints must get Athena’s cloth to her. He says that Hades real body is in Elysium and they must destroy him there. Then the Bronze Saints leave as the Gold Saints all attack the wall. Outside Minos appears. They try to stop him from going into Hades palace but they are tossed aside. As Minos opens the door, a bright light blasts the roof of the palace.
Shun and Seiya arrive at the Wailing Wall to find a tunnel through it and the empty cloths of the Gold Saints. Shiryu and Hyoga arrive, and they explain what happened. Then they all start to go through the wall. Shiryu stays behind to fight several Specters. On the other side of the wall is a twisted dimension. Shun and Seiya jump toward it, but Hyoga stays behind because a wounded Minos appears at his back. Hyoga stays behind to hold Minos. Seiya tries to go back and help him but he can barely move in the twisted dimension. Wings spout from the back of his cloth and he is able to ‘fly’ through the dimension. He grabs Shun and they go on.
Minos blasts Hyoga out into the twisted dimension and attempts to follow. He is ripped apart because his Surplice hasn’t been exposed to the blood of a god. On the other side of the wall Shiryu defeats the Specters, and blasts himself through the wall. Hyoga, whose Cloth has sprouted wings too, is waiting for him and they go toward Elysium.
Ikki is about to go through the tunnel when he is stopped by Pandora. She tells him that the Specter are nothing compared to Hypnos and Thanatos the twin gods who are Hades heralds. She gives him a bracelet that lets her travel anywhere in the underworld. Then she is killed by the twin gods. Ikki is attacked by a bunch of Specters but he kills all of them and goes through into the twisted space and wings sprout from his cloth.
Seiya has reached Elysium. He is confronted by Thanatos, who tells him that Athena is dead. Thanatos is going to kill Seiya when his brother Hypnos shows up and stops him. Hypnos doesn’t want Thanatos to soil the holy ground with Seiya’s blood. He also revealed that although he captured Athena, he didn’t kill her. Instead he brought her to where Hades’s true body rests and trapped her in a giant unbreakable urn that is slowly going to drain her blood. Hypnos says that Thanatos may stop Seiya from reaching Hades’s Temple.
Thanatos tries to kill Seiya, but Seiya dodges by using his wings to fly. An angry Thanatos destroys Seiya’s wings. Seiya still gets to his feet and attacks Thanatos, scratching him. An angry Thanatos attack again. Seiya tries to kill Thanatos but the god teleports away. Shun uses his chain to stop the god from killing Seiya, but Thanatos shatters it. Hyoga and Shiryu are both defeated when they try to attack. Ikki manages to hurt the god, but he too is defeated. The Bronze Saints feel the call of the Gold Cloths and get to their feet. Poseidon uses his power to let five gold cloths arrive in Elysium, and those cloths attach themselves to the Bronze Saints. But Thanatos shatters the Gold Cloths as if they are nothing.
Thinking he has no hope and nothing left, Seiya is about to give up when he hears Athena’s voice telling him that all was not lost, he still had his life didn’t he? With Athena supporting him, Seiya is able to climb to his feet again and rise his cosmo to the maximum causing his cloth to evolve. Hypnos sense this and remembers it happened in ancient times too, cloths given the blood of Gods evolved into God Cloths.
With the power of the Pegasus God Cloth Seiya is able to defeat Thanatos. He takes Athena’s Cloth and runs toward the temple. Hypnos tries to stop him but Ikki, on his feet again, attacks. Annoyed, Hypnos is about to kill Ikki when he is stopped by the Nebula Chain. Shun’s cloth evolves into the Andromeda God Cloth.
Seiya arrives at Hades temple. He finds the urn but is unable to break it and free Saori.
Shun fights with Hypnos, but the God of Sleep manages to use his powers to make Shun fall asleep. Hyoga and Shiryu’s Cloths evolved and they manage to defeat Hypnos.
Seiya attacks the urn again but his attack is reflected back. Ikki arrives and try to break it but is unsuccessful. He wishes for a cloth and because he is touching Athena’s blood, he receives the Phoenix God Cloth. Even together he and Seiya find they don’t have enough power to break the urn.
Ikki and Seiya spot Hades soul floating around what looks like a crypt and realize that is probably where Hades body is. They breaking to the crypt and awaken Hades. Hypnos says that all will be darkness, then collapses.
Hades blasts Ikki and Seiya away with a look, then uses his powers to levitate the urn and drop Athena right in front of him. He draws his sword and is about to cut her, but Ikki takes the blow instead. Seiya then catches the sword but is shocked by the power it holds. Hades knocks back Seiya against he urn, but is stopped from killing him by the just arrived Shun, Shiryu and Hyoga. All the Bronze Saints attack Hades together, but are blow away. Hades is shocked to discover they actually hurt him.
Hades then remembers that Seiya looked exactly like the Saint who wounded him in the last Holy War, that Saint had been a Pegasus Saint too. He then attacks Seiya again. Seiya drops the Athena’s Cloth. Hades stabs him through the hand as he reaches for it.
Annoyed, Hades shows them that the earth is dying because the Greatest Eclipse is almost complete, then tries to kill Seiya but is stopped by a bubble of cosmo. Seeing that the other Bronze Saints are encased in similar bubbles, Hades realizes that Athena is protecting them. He cuts the earn…and Seiya throws Athena her cloth. She emerges clad in it.
Hades attacks her with his sword but she blocks it with her shield. Seiya bursts out of his protective bubble and attacks Hades, wounding him. An angry Hades stabs Seiya in the heart with his sword.
Shun, Shiryu, Hyoga and Ikki combine their powers with Athena as their goddess throws her staff through Hades chest, killing him. As Hades’s Temple starts to crumble, Athena declares it’s time to go home.
Reality Description:
Shun splits his time between Tokyo and Sanctuary, in 1990.
Sanctuary is next to Athena but apparently hidden by a barrier that keeps ordinary people out because no one knows its’ there. Looking very much like it did in ancient Greece, it’s dominated by the mountain that contains the main temple of Athena and the twelve temples of the Gold Saints. The fire clock can be viewed from almost anywhere in Sanctuary. There is an arena that is used for training and for important events.
Currently Aquila Marin is the current Pope of Sanctuary since she is the most experienced Saint left. Currently most of the twelve temples are undergoing to repairs due to the massive damage they received during the Holy War.
First Person Sample:
Where am I know? This place almost reminds me of what it’s like on the other side of the Wailing Wall but it’s…I don’t know…less hostile? It’s still really unnerving here though. I wonder where I am? Is this another dream? If it then it’s a lot better than the nightmares I’ve been having recently! Not that I’m surprised by the nightmares. After everything that’s happened I would be more shocked if I wasn’t having them.
Okay, this is starting to get creepy. Where exactly am I? Maybe this is something to do with being Hades host body…but Athena said he was gone. We killed him. He’s gone for good….isn’t he?
Third Person Role-play Sample:
Shun leaned back and watches the clouds roll by as he enjoyed the feel of sun on his skin. He had learned to love the sun since his return from the Hades realm. The gardens surrounded Saori’s mansion were very beautiful. It was funny how he had never really appreciated them before. The Andromeda Saint stood up from the bench he had been sitting on, stretched and headed inside. According to his stomach it was almost time for lunch anyway.
As he walked in he passed by Ichi and Ban. The conversation they had been having was cut short when they saw him. When he called a greeting as they passed them muttered something in reply then practically ran out of the room. They had been doing that since they had decided to come here to recover from the Holy War. They were skittish around Shiryu, Hyoga and Ikki too because they were all the great God Saints now, the heroes of the Holy war, but they didn’t even talk to him. Shun had a suspicion that they had heard about Hades possessing him. He really didn’t blame them for not wanting to be around him but it still hurt.
As he passed the stairs he gazed up the stairs. Seiya still hasn’t woken up. He had been in the hospital for a while, but then Saori-san had moved him to the mansion and hired the best doctors to check on him. They all check on him several times a day. They also made sure to make Saori leave his room. If not she would stay in there all day. But there was nothing even a goddess could do. All they could do at this point was pray.
