so... i`m feeling a little down today. After my class this morning, I went to Hinohara Hall (sorta like the Student Union) to just hang out and do some studying. Well, when I sat down I realized how many people around me were hanging out with friends and laughing

Take your time, homesickness and culture shock are probably just getting started with you, but you're already doing great and things'll definitely get better. You'll get comfortable with your new friends, and better and better at Japanese, and before you know it it'll be time to come home and you won't want to leave ^^

You are interesting on your own! One of my regrets during my time at BGSU is that I never got a chance to spend any time one-on-one with you just talking and finding out about you.

Also, you're busy with classes too... but if one of your new friends there were to approach you and want to hang out, I think you'd be very happy to spend time with that person. So have some faith that those around you won't be put out by you wanting to be with them.

Punkin, there is nothing about me that affects whether you are interesting or not- its ALL you!!!!! Please give yourself some more time to adjust- after all, this is just 2.5 weeks into your adventure~ you can't expect to be speaking as well as people who've spoken Japanese their whole life~!! PLUS I happen to know that you have TOTALLY had some awesome bonding time with people- Imai-san, Eriko (BBQ TIEM XD), Ayumi, the other exchange students... :D No worries, baby! You have so much time to get better~ please just try not to be so hard on yourself- contrary to your beliefs, you are actually hysterical and your sense if humor is anything BUT dull. I know it'll shine through once you adjust a little more <3 Love you~
