Disclaimer/Author's Notes/Spoiler Warning: I don't own the characters or make any claim to. This is a cracky ficlet, first person from Z's point of view. Takes place in the
Soul's Bonds continuum, but the only real knowledge needed from SB is that it's post-series, Bridge & Sky are a couple, and Tessie is my OC Green Ranger.
"I wouldn't do that, if I were you," I warned Tessie blandly as she raised her hand to knock on Bridge and Sky's door. Music was blaring from within, underneath which many nondescript noises could be heard.
"Why not? I'm just tellin' Mr. Rules and Regulations to quiet down a little," Tessie grumped. "I can't hear myself think with that lot."
"Trust me, there's a reason they have it up that loud," Syd informed her. "Even now, Sky would never break the rules unless he had a good excuse for doing so." I nodded agreement.
"I found that out the hard way," I said. "The first time they did this, I knocked on the door, yelled at them to keep it down, and got a reply of, and may I quote, 'Thanks for killing the mood, Z!'. After that, I learned to let go and deal with it for the 15 or so minutes they need to... do things that two men in love often do." Tessie blinked owlishly at me before comprehension dawned across her face.
"Oooh. Gotcha," she said, giving me the thumbs-up. At that moment, an alarm sounded, so she, Syd and I got up to run to Delta Command but paused when the music and other noises abruptly cut off.
"SON OF A-" came Sky's voice. The three of us stared, wide-eyed, then had to hold back our laughter when their door opened and Bridge began dashing out, a green-and-blue blanket wrapped around himself, before Sky's arms reached out and seized his waist. "PANTS, kitten! At least put some of those on first!"
"Oh, right!" Bridge disappeared inside again, and a few moments later, the two emerged, tousle-haired and hastily-dressed.
"What are you three staring at?" Sky demanded. "Move, move, MOVE!" Tessie, Syd and I followed the flustered pair to Delta Command, where Commander Cruger was waiting.
"Cadets, we just received a report of-" he began, then took a good look at Bridge and Sky. "Cadet Carson? Cadet Tate?"
"Sir?" the two asked in unison, Bridge nervously tucking his shirt back in.
"May I ask why the two of you are so unkempt and panting like you just ran a mile if you were merely in the rec room when I summoned you?" Cruger asked severely. This time, Syd, Tessie and I couldn't stop a few giggles from escaping as the hapless duo glanced nervously at each other.
"Ah, sir," Sky began. "We were just... ah..." Cruger stared them down before he abruptly caught on, and he covered his eyes with one paw.
"Never mind, Cadets. Let us carry on."
