Character Information
Name: She goes by Cissnei, but her real name is unknown. (If you would prefer I make one up, I don't mind doing so.)
Canon Origin/Series: Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core
School Year: 6th (though I am de-aging her a bit).
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Out of school living location: She lives in an orphanage when she is outside of school. Said orphanage is located in Scotland.
Blood status: She doesn't know.

Personality: Cissnei is a girl with a hard shell and a soft (yet not gooey) inside. She is almost always in control of her emotions, though that is mostly due to her shyness when it comes to expressing herself to others. In fact, only her fellow Housemates (and perhaps Zack) know how warm (and dare I say motherly?) Cissnei can be to her friends (and family - considering her Housemates are one and the same for her).

When Cissnei is in class, however, she is all business. She memorizes her objectives and keeps them in mind at all times no matter what (or who) crosses her path. In fact, the only one that tempts her to break her concentration is Zack Fair (and she does end up forgoing her Schoolwork in order to help him and Cloud Strife). Thus Cissnei is not as hard/cold/driven as she may seem on first sight. She does have a heart and she does realize that sometimes doing the right thing means leaving everything you know behind.

Over-all, despite her age, Cissnei is a reliable ally as well as friend. When the chips are down, she will stand up and show her bravery - though it won't be through her words. In Cissnei's case, her actions will always speak louder than her words (and not just because she is naturally soft-spoken). She believes that standing up for what you believe in (and who you care for) means a lot more than petty words.

Canon Background: Cissnei was orphaned at a young age. She grew up in an orphanage in Midgar. When she was barely teenager (or perhaps a little bit before), she was recruited by the ShinRa Turks. After years of training, she became a full-fledged Turk who followed missions given to her by her superiors (Tseng in particular). (Also, it should be noted that "Cissnei" is not her real name. Her real name is unknown, though I've always assumed she knows it.)

While fighting the threat of Genesis clones/copies in the city, she meets (and is saved by) Zack Fair. From that moment on, the girl develops a crush on the SOLDIER (though it is more or less unrequited because Zack has Aerith). Yet the two keep crossing paths - thus causing Cissnei's feelings to deepen. (She even meets Zack's family in Gongaga and they tell her that they want him to find a nice girl and settle down/get married.)

Finally, despite her feelings for both Zack and the Turks, Cissnei makes a very selfless decision. Zack needs an escape from the Turks and other SOLDIERs so that he can keep Cloud safe. Cissnei gives them that escape, but she realizes that she might never see Zack again. Besides that, she betrays the Turks by making helping Zack and Cloud escape. Thus Cissnei is, literally, a woman without a country (though she is shown still working for the Turks later).

Background (AU!Canon; HP):

The beginning of Cissnei's life wasn't a happy one. She was orphaned at a young age by circumstances that are still rather blurry to her. Regardless, the small girl was found by the authorities and taken to the nearest orphanage. For her, her time in the orphanage is where her life truly begins. She doesn't like to think about everything that led up to the moment she crossed the threshold of her new home (nor does she like to dwell on the past).

Whilst in the orphanage, she was given the name "Cissnei". While it was meant more as a nickname, she decided to take it on as her "real" name. After all, what good did her family's surname do her? They were all gone. She had to move on with her life and it would be easier to do so under a new identity.

To make her life even more complicated, Cissnei didn't know she was a witch until her 11th birthday. She even thought the letter from Hogwarts was a farce at first (or some cruel joke). But, upon seeing the Wizarding World in action (i.e. Diagon Alley), she was forced to change her opinion. Yet, still, she tread carefully.

Now, six years later, Cissnei has settled nicely into school life. She has found that she excels particularly in Defense Against the Dark Arts and Charms, though she isn't bad when it comes to memorizing facts and formulas (such as in History of Magic and Ancient Runes/Arithmacy/Divination). As for her future plans, however, she plans on becoming an Auror.

How would your character fit in to each House? [Please fill this out for each House, and explain why. We don't want see just "OH THEY'D NEVER BE IN THIS HOUSE!" We'd like you to explain why. This does not guarantee any House placement, it is more for moderators to consider.]

Gryffindor ~ Cissnei has a strong view of right and wrong. If something comes between her and her "family" (i.e. Housemates), she will try to do the right thing even if that means upsetting her family. Furthermore, Cissnei isn't one to back down from a fight (should such a situation occur). She will try to negotiate and then, if need be, use more violent means to take care of the matter. (Yet, even if she is involved in a fight, she accepts that she could lose; and she will accept that outcome as gracefully as she can - though she might pout about it later.)

Slytherin ~ Cissnei is ambitious and resourceful when it comes to day to day life. Yet I hesitate to call her "cunning" because she does care about how her actions affect others. Also, Cissnei does better when she is following orders. While she is level-headed enough (and bright enough) to be a leader, it isn't something she wants to pursue. (Which is why working in a group like the Aurors appeals to her so much.)

Hufflepuff ~ You would be hard pressed to find a harder worker than Cissnei. She puts everything she has into her studies and she values doing her own work to the best of her ability. You definitely won't find her cheating to get ahead. She likes to take pride in everything she hands into her professors.

She is also extremely tolerant, but that shouldn't be terribly surprising considering where she spent her childhood. Children from all different backgrounds befriended her because of her even-handed, quiet ways. Additionally, Cissnei values all of those friendships (as well as the ones she has made at Hogwarts) more than anything. She is loyal to a fault sometimes, unfortunately.

Ravenclaw ~ While Cissnei can be witty (and she is certainly curious when it comes to the pursuit of new knowledge), she is not terribly creative. Rhymes and riddles don't interest her. She seems to be almost...too down to earth to understand how Ravenclaws function. (For example, Cissnei only pursues knowledge that can be useful in the here and now. She often reads books on day to day spells or battle strategies. But she sees no reason to expand her knowledge beyond what she needs to know at the moment.)

Sample Journal Entry:

{Private to Self.}

I'm too comfortable here. In less than two years, it will be over. I need to accept that.

I'll be organizing another study group in the Library tomorrow evening. Anyone and everyone is welcome. Bring your books and notes. Also, it would help if you thought of some questions beforehand. That way we don't waste any time.

Sample Interaction Post in Third Person:

"That's enough." Cissnei glanced around the Library, noting how dark it had gotten, "We better get back before the Prefects start their patrols."

There was a faint murmur of agreement from her classmates as Cissnei put her notes away. Slinging her bag over her shoulder, she gave the Librarian a faint smile and walked out into the corridor. Once she was alone, she hurried her steps towards her Common Room.

Though she was pleased with how they had managed to cover, she had no desire to be given a detention for being out too late. The very idea made her stomach clench. In all of her years at Hogwarts, she hadn't been given a detention once. If she had it her way, that record would not be broken.

Upon reaching the "guardian" of her Common Room, Cissnei came to a halt and shifted her weight. Only after glancing around (to make sure she hadn't been followed) did she give the password. Walking inside, she set her bag down and collapsed into one of the all too comfortable chairs.

Oh well, it wouldn't be the first time she fell asleep in one. Besides, she wanted to avoid the other girls as much as possible. They tended to chatter too much.

Closing her eyes, Cissnei felt herself relax. The heat from the fire was far too good at getting rid of tension and aches. She should really get up and -

Too late. The girl fell fast asleep, curled up around her book bag.
