i really liked having travis as a friend. and i wish that there was some other way that i could of done things. like, some way to not upset him. but at the same time, i keep telling myself that there was no other way...so...i dunno

It's not your fault in any way that he's upset. Once again, he has no right to care. But I respect that you value your friendship so highly.
