Should I feel like an idiot that it just dawned on me 2 seconds ago while looking at the random live journal picture page that why people are waling around campus with black stuff on their forehead in a plus is because its ASH WEDNESDAY, and the "plus" is a cross and the "black stuff" is a cross. It makes much more sense now.
