I'm glad you acknowledge this, because it's true. But that doesn't make you "not enough" in a bad way. You are so much it's not even funny. You have not failed anyone. You are a superhero. Addiction is a personal battle; all you or anyone else can do (even Jesus or Alexander the Great or Josef Stalin) is serve as the wonderful support you always have been.
