As a Technical Publications intern, you will be part of the team responsible for creating and publishing comprehensive technical documentation for administrators and users of the HP ArcSight product suite. You will begin with a self-directed training period covering tools, methodology, and the ArcSight product suite. Following this period, you will take on a challenging project that will require a combination of design, writing, editing, illustrating, and publishing in a variety of formats, including PDFs, online help, wiki, and a Jive-based social media platform.
The successful candidate will be currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree and have the following qualifications:
Required Experience:
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Fearlessness with regard to learning and using new technologies
• Ability to diagnose issues, troubleshoot, and solve problems
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Self-driven, quick learner who pays close attention to details and quality
• Interest in cyber-security and related topics
Education:
• BA in English, Journalism, Information Design, Technical Writing, or at least two years of progress toward a writing-intensive degree
Location:
• Sunnyvale, CA
• The position will be full-time during the summer of 2013 (preferably starting the week of June 4th, but negotiable) and then could be extended to include some part-time work during the school year.
