I got a bike about two weeks ago, and only today had the chance to really take it out. It's gorgeous. Sunny. 80 degrees. And I get outside, take it for a little test-spin around the parking lot, and I discover that the highest gear won't "catch" (not sure if that's the right term for it). 1. Rubs against the tire how? Like, your heel against the back tire? Or toe against the front? Is it just from how you place your foot?
2. Your dis... dis-something that I can't remember the name of probably needs to be adjusted. It's the thing that moves the chain onto the different gears. Should be easy to fix. Does the place that you bought it from have any kind of 30-day guarantee or anything? Since it's only been two weeks, they should fix it for free.
3. Rock climbing is awesome. But rock climbers? Are kind of nuts. Boulder was full of people who were REALLY into it.

1. The front of my foot rubs against the back of the front tire, but not every time I turn. The guy at the shop told me it's a common thing among riders and it's just about finding a different position for my foot on the pedal.

2. Yeah, I'm taking it in to get fixed.

3. I haven't really met a lot of climbers, but the ones I met were very nice, and pretty mellow. I'd imagine there are legions of climbers out there in those states. Not as big of a thing out here. I wish I could get good enough to climb when I visit CO, but I doubt that'll happen.
