Author's Note: Post-series. Involves my own personal canon. Written for the prompt: Toby, the last speech he writes, at fictorium. Feedback and concrit is love.

( When Toby received the call two days after the election, he wasn't surprised. He hunched over his desk in his Columbia office, surrounded by an air of clairvoyance and bathed in the warm wash of his shaded lamp. )

Also, I thought of you recently for two reasons:

1) LJ told me your birthday was, I think, tomorrow. Happy (almost) birthday!

Okay:

a) I love that Amy is in this. Because of course she would be all over Andy's campaign and making that happen.

and

b) The love letter line is my favorite. I think that is just so true and real.

More than once, a student saw the scribbles on his notepad and asked, "So what are you writing?"

Toby always tilted his head and tapped the pad with the top of his pen. "A love letter."

This is SO PERFECT and beautifully written. My favourite fic of yours yet. I love how you've written Toby, I love how you've written his love for Andy, and I love that Andy is the president. :D
