I note that there were concerns over the spelling in my app. To which I will merely note that I am somewhat dyslexic. And rather prone to forgetting which word has the i before the e and which spelling of a name to use and things of that nature

You have a typo in your name in the journal, actually, it should be "Vladimir", not "Vladamir". I think I also saw some misspellings on "Loiosh" in your playercest thread, so might want to keep an eye on that one.

Also, feel free to poke/pester me at any time if you need help with some of the weird spellings, I usually can remember most of them offhand.

I just wanted to say that I'm dyslexic myself, and I'm seriously not unsympathetic to the problem. There are some words that took me a crazy long time to burn into my brain--beautiful, for one, and servant--so I don't really hold it against you. I do understand moments of "Wait, I did what wrong here?"

I just hate myself, clearly, because I'm also kinda anal about that sort of thing.

There's that. But...honestly, doing a callout like that on the vote post felt pretty insulting at the time, in a "you must hate yourself, be unintelligent and not care at all" sort. Which may have not been your intent, but I was already pretty twitchy about the app in general. So. I'm sorry if you feel that I didn't get your message, but it...really didn't go over too well in this corner.

It wasn't my intent, no. At that point, I was a little upset that I felt like I'd gone through the trouble of correcting the spelling errors, and been ignored, so it's not at all impossible that I came off as more aggressive than I meant to. Honestly, if I'd realized how literally you meant it when you said you were blind to the errors, I would have figured out a way to make the corrections clearer. It really wasn't my intention to insult you, though, and I apologize if that hurt you.

...ETA: I wasn't actually being snarky about it. I wondered. I know that there are variations in canons depending on when and where they're published. I realize it might have come off that way, but that also wasn't intentional.

I am so blind and I swear it's getting worse as time goes on, not better, which makes me feel really sorry for all my betas. So I'm sorry you had to put up with that without a huge disclaimer up front in my desire to try to distance my identity from the app.

Also, you should see how many times I've misspelled my character's names as I'm apping them. It is sad, I swear I've done it three times over at this point.

I've found this firefox addon, which lets you create abbreviations which it'll autocomplete into longer text at a keyboard command. (I've installed it for the sole purpose of not having to write out Ith's full name, of which I can never remember the spelling.) It might help, for some of Brust's obscurer spellings?
