Title: What Do You Say To Taking Chances?
Rating: PG-13ish?
Fandom: Chuck
Pairing: Chuck/Casey
A/N: Wrote this on my phone during math class in, like, February. I just love the dynamic between these two so much, I couldn't resist. :)
Title/Cut Text from Taking Chances by...Celine Dion, I believe? (I only know the Glee version, haha.)

Chuck isn't entirely sure sure when it happened- sometime between Casey catching him when he fell (literally) and "thank you"- but somewhere along the way, he fell in love with John Casey.

He excuses it as frustration- after all, a guy can only chase the girl of his dreams for so long before he realizes it's a lost cause and, well, nearest warm body- but when his hand is beneath the covers in the dead of night and Chuck realizes it's Casey's name he's biting back, he prays that Casey is asleep because he needs this, and then he starts to think this may be a problem.

He refuses to acknowledge that maybe, just maybe he's a little turned on by the thought of Casey listening in, or the fact that he comes only seconds later with Casey's name on his lips despite all his efforts to the contrary.

Basically, Chuck is screwed.

When he's pressed up against the cage in the back of the Buy More, though, Chuck thinks that maybe he isn't so screwed after all. Except, well, in the fun way.

It's the first time he's felt the metal at his back rattle in a way meant to cause him anything but pain, but Casey's hand on the small of his back and lips surprisingly gentle against his own make it clear that this is only the beginning of a bright new era where Chuck's bruises decorate his hips rather than his face-

At least until Jeff stumbles in on them, luckily disoriented- probably drunk- enough to give Casey a chance to step back, wiping his mouth with the back of one hand while he shoves Chuck back against the cage with the other, growling, "Get back to work, Bartowski."

Chuck knows nothing's really changed, except that now when Casey shows up at his window at all hours it's okay to invite him in- to his room, to his bed- and it's okay to love him- as long as he doesn't say it, ever- but he knows the feeling's mutual in the way Casey kisses him, wraps around him, pushes into him, and that's more than enough.
