Title: Your Face In Every Star
Rating: PG
Fandom: Valentine's Day
Pairing: Sean Jackson/Holden Wilson
A/N: Cheesy as fuck, but I hope it's cute. (Also,
best part of this entire movie. Really.) Title and cut from Guns and Horses by Ellie Goulding.
The silky touch against his cheek stirs him awake, fingers reaching up blindly to brush away the-
Flowers?
He turns his head as Holden crouches down beside him, hand slipping through his hair, just barely tugging, and Sean hadn’t realized how much he had missed that touch- those eyes, that smile- until now. But- he has to hear it. He has to be sure.
“You saw?”
“Yeah.”
One word, one simple syllable and it’s like everything falls into place. His heart’s nearly bursting through his chest with a happiness that’s almost unrecognizable, and the only thing that’s left to wonder is why is took him this long.
Then Holden’s hand slides along his jaw, a spark in those brilliant blue eyes that ignites something within Sean; it’s not the first time, but he’s done hiding, and as their lips meet in a kiss that feels more right, more real than ever before, he lets himself think it. Say it.
“I love you,” and if the world wasn’t perfect before it must be now, reflected in Holden’s eyes and the thrum of his heart and the way his voice whispers and breaks in return and Sean knows- no matter what the future holds, he has everything he needs right here in his arms.
