I have decided not to post about being sullen, because, after all, once it's been stated who really needs to know more about it? Instead, I would rather say that my girl's smile is sort of like that hazy, yellow orange sunset you see in the winter. On those days when the snow is deep and the top layer has already melted and refrozen a few times and the only real word for walking around in it is "tromping." That sort of "you've been out playing in the snow all afternoon" sunset, that heralds the change from stinging noses to warm cocoa. And only when you get back inside, do you realize how tired you are and how nice it is to be warm and curled up on an overstuffed couch with a blanket.
Yeah, it's hard to be sullen when I think of that instead.
