there are also anal fistulas, which can be suffered by both sexes (obviously). i first heard about them when reading psychopathia sexualis. if i remember correctly, many of these were suffered by gay men who had anal sex. (this was a long time ago, so cleanliness and lubrication probably weren't what they are now.)

This hospital deals with anal fistulas, as well. As the vagina and the rectum share a wall, this can also get torn in childbirth. Ugh! You're only person I know who's read Kraft Ebbing or however one might spell his name.
