Taking a seat on the edge of the hotel bed, Sherlock heaved a sigh to himself at how absolutely insane the situation he was in was. It wasn't so unusual that he had texted a violent criminal just a few hours earlier, considering he'd done that a few times before in his line of work. No, the insane (even for him) part of this was the reason why. It had been a few days since they'd made it out of that godforsaken cabin in the middle of nowhere, having been forced to utilize their body heat just to stay alive long enough to wait out the snowstorm. He hadn't anticipated Jim getting as comfortable as he did, and he certainly didn't anticipate that he would be just as comfortable with how the evening had progressed. Namely, his allowing Jim to kiss him which inevitably led to a messy session of grinding against each other until they each found their release.
He shouldn't have enjoyed it, shouldn't have even let it happen, but here he was, having texted Jim with nothing but a time and a meeting place, knowing he wouldn't have to explain what it was he wanted. His addictive personality was unable to let go of the blissful high he'd felt when they were together, having felt his mind stop buzzing for the entire time Jim was touching him. He'd been a slave to his own mind for his entire life, constantly looking for distraction from it and never finding respite until letting Jim touch him and allowing his body's instinctual responses to take over. Just thinking about it again made his heart stutter in anticipation, still not entirely sure that Jim was even going to show up. He hadn't replied to his text, though Sherlock was sure that this was just another one of his games, wanting to keep him anxious and unsure if he would be able to get what he wanted, what he needed, so easily.
He glanced at the clock, it was nearly time. The seconds ticked down to the time he'd set, his fingers tapping errantly on his legs as the suspense to whether or not Jim would show up coming to a head as the clock finally struck the time of their meeting.
