and again.

Prolly the live with the biggest bands I've seen so far, so it naturally drew quite a crowd tonight. Not as cramped as I expected though. 名古屋 BOTTOM LINE seems to have originally started as a jazz bar, so the hall looks a bit more Western to me. There were two live screens for people at the back to see, so the place was audience-friendly. The booths were also at the first floor of the building, which was good because it gave more room for people to move around in.

ハートレス played first. Never heard of their band before, but their lead guitarist has some pretty good riffs. Lycaon played second, but during this time I had retreated to the locker areas and ate onigiri and some Pocky because I got hungry. Lol. Returned to see meth. play next, and they were amazing. Akito growls really good, loud and powerful, like he could just keep doing it forever and never grow hoarse. He does tend to stretch out his hand often though and make a funny, rapid waving gesture. He was cute though XD At the end of his performance, I thought I heard him say, "You want my bread" in Engrish, but Eido said it was "You are my bitch". Slight mishearing, lol.

Juliette was the only oshare band of the night, and since there were considerably more guys in the audience (the biggest fanboy count I've seen so far), the crowd was more subdued during their number. I always like happy music though, so it was still fun to listen to them.

ClearVeil played next, and then DEATHGAZE, but during this time Eido and I had gone out to buy merchandise and hand out S-T.net press kits before it got too crowded at the end of the show. A (pretty cute) guy was sitting for the ClearVeil booth when we gave our press kit to him, and we saw him open it and read it right after, which is kinda cool. I hope he's a roadie (note to self, not a groupie). ClearVeil is Under Code after all, so the closer we get to Kisaki, the better. Haha.

Returned just in time to see the last band perform. The audience was reduced to a sea of headbangers when lynch. was playing. I recognized their first song, Adore, and it was nice to see the crowd sing with them the whole time. Hazuki, the vocalist, sounded really gracious and humble during his free talk portions, which made him very likeable.

A session band including the vocalists of lynch., ClearVeil, ハートレス, and Lycaon, guitarists Tomoya (meth.) and Shouya (Juliette), bassist/vocalist Ai (DEATHGAZE), and drummer Asanao (lynch.) completed the lineup for the finale. They performed two Kuroyume songs, which is a nice tribute since I didn't know that Kuroyume was formed in Nagoya. Sweet.

And that wraps up this month's set of lives. I've seen a good deal of pretty big bands in a matter of weeks, which is pretty cool. I am still yet to get used to hairbanging fangirls though. Some of them tonight could headbang like they had no necks. I wonder if they have to warm up for that, since based on personal experience I know sudden headbanging leads to neck soreness the day after >_> Ah well.

March, here we go.
