none of the people i knew around me who had more of the last 2 are anywhere i want to be (some are dead, others just adrift/strung out) so i'm pretty happy to have been staid and straight. seriously, the mystique i think is more the allure than the experience? having said that though, there's a lot to be said about not legitimizing inertia and getting out of one's comfort zones :)

I know that you are right, but because I've never had any experience of it, it is almost as if I want to prove it to myself. Not that I am about to run out and become a crack-head - for one thing I wouldn't know where to start.

Maybe I have hit upon it at the end of my entry: I am really just looking for experience rather than theory. Not necessarily the potentially negative experience of random sex and huge amounts of drugs.
