Long time no write

I don't know who all is left on here, and I can't say I'm going to be around a ton, especially considering my last few attempts at returning.

Anyway, life is chugging along. Two kids, a new career, liver disease, 11 years of marriage, purchased condo, etc. Not in that order.

That's all I got.

I think being pregnant with Henry was about when I last updated! Now he's almost 4, and James is almost 2.

would you mind sharing more info about the liver disease? it's much harder for me to keep up and always follow accurately on Facebook so I feel like I missed out on important details.
I would understand whatever limitations you have on sharing though.

The short version is that I was diagnosed in May 2015 with an autoimmune liver disease. It has caused me to have cirrhosis, and now I have a hepatologist and I see him every 6 months for monitoring, which includes an MRI and labwork, plus other regular testing like bone density tests, endoscopies, colonoscopies, etc.

Eventually, my liver will begin to fail and I will need a liver transplant. I'm hoping that doesn't happen for a really long time and when it does, they can grow me a new one with some stem cells and a 3D printer. If that doesn't happen, I'm also at a much greater risk of certain cancers (which is part of why I have so much testing every 6 months).

What can ya do? Just trying to live my best life while I can. It's also a major motivator in my attempts to be healthier as I need the rest of my body to be as healthy/strong as possible when shit starts to hit the fan.

omfh Nettie, that's awful. I'm sorry you got hit with this disease, but it does sound like you're handling it with strength and great determination to do the best you can for yourself and your family.
I will keep sending good thoughts, vibes, and prayers that it will be many, many years before anything drastic has to be done. ♥
