Now, Seto was never late for a single thing he did. He made sure to be on time and usually he got there early, if it could be done. And today was absolutely nothing different.

He'd expected for this to just be a normal day with nothing unusual happening, unfortunately this was rarely ever the case. As he'd begun to learn after the first hundred times that stupid things had happened to him.

The commotion had easily gotten his attention and fairly quickly he moved towards the scene, pulling the almost always concealed pistol from his jacket he was quite ready to deal with the inevitable bullshit that would appear.

"Let go of her!" He snapped at the men, firing a single shot into the sky to get the morons' attentions, he wasn't about to put up with a bunch of bullshit. Not today.

Silvermane had just taken a punch to the stomach to wind her when Seto fired the shot in the air. Wasting no time, one of the thugs pulled out a knife and held it close to her throat. Silvermane was still coughing from the punch to her stomach, and wasn't sure she could have used her powers properly even if she wanted to immediately after that hit.

"Just the guy we wanted to see," said the group's leader with a grin. "Now, why don't you go run home and get us oh....ten million dollars, so that we don't have to cut up your girlfriend?"

Grasping the pistol tighter in his hand, it was quite obvious he wasn't about to get into the demands of those idiots. How Sil had managed to get herself stuck in that situation... well, that he was also curious about.

"You forget who has the negotiating power here, I'm the one with the gun. I could just easily shoot you right here and now before you could cut her."

Silvermane had recovered enough from the punch to her stomach that she had raised her hand and seized the wrist of the thug holding the knife, pulling it away from her as she simultaneously stomped firmly on the instep of his foot.

Leaning back, she smacked the back of her head into his face. With organic metal hair, this would hurt him a lot more than it would hurt her. In fact, the blow was enough to knock him out. People underestimated the power of the headbutt. Especially a metal-covered headbutt.

"Uh..." The group of thugs considered their options and finally settled for pushing Silvermane forcefully at Seto, then running for it, leaving their colleague unconscious on the ground.
