Oh, well done. :) Even with the short length, you did a great job of leading up to...well, Sweeney's not recognizing her (while making it seem as though he might, of course). And so the last two sentences are devastating.

Very, very nice! Perhaps, if he'd had more time he would've recognized her as Lucy... it's such a sad scene, and you found exactly the right words.

Thank you! I can't be sure, but perhaps he was thinking what I just wrote (which was why I wanted to draw it out, of course). Despite what Mrs Lovett said about picking and choosing who they kill, we never saw him asking questions before, so maybe he did think she seemed familiar.
