"But when you think about what people do to marraige - people marrying for "convenience", abusive relationships, messy divorces ... doesn't that harm the term marraige far more than two people that are in love not being opposite sex?

Many heterosexual couples marry and have no intention of having children, yet this is very acceptable. Homosexual couples want to get marry and have children, but this is not accepted.

Marraige perhaps should be redefined. People must be in love, truly in love, before they are married. That's it. Christian religions be damned. Look to your own faith to feel how Jesus would feel about gay marraige. I think he would feel that "where love is found", there is God. Others may feel different, but it's my faith that counts."

i completly agree with that, the term marriage should be redefined. It should be if you love each other, not based on if your a guy and a girl or 2 guys or 2 girls..

He could push it but that doesn't mean it would go through. People have been so far against that since the beginning that it's never going to go through unless it's going to be changed drastically or something.

And what about the Amendment that banned alcohol sales and consumption? Was that really not against people's rights?

I'm not saying that Bush is right. I'm saying he stands for what he believes in, he takes firm stances, and he doesn't think he's all that smart. He knows that.

And he doesn't define the freaking upper class as people who make $200K/year and wouldn't charge all those people much higher taxes even if they're putting three kids through college and can't get that much financial aid because of it...

Sorry, I know you hate me and you will from now on, I'm sure. but I just wanted to say that.

I believe in Gay Marriage, but I also believe in the recovering of an economy and the improvement of schools without wondering where the hell all the money goes.

Yah, I understand. Now that I'm dating erika (who is amazing by the way), I really care that I have the same rights.... I'd like more than just a civil union even. I'd want to call a woman my wife eventually if I was in a long term relationship. And that's one thing that bothers me so much about bush. I love erika, if you wanted an update. She's wonderful. She bought me a dozen roses a night ago. It was so romantic. And the lesbian sex. OH. MY. GOD.
No comparison. Once you have girlfriend, there is no going back....
