teaching is going pretty good. the early mornings are a pain but i love watching the run rise in my rear view mirror. the morning mist/fog is pretty cool too. the boys are tiny and the girls frighting. i think im pretty lucky to have the teacher i got. for our wire sculpture demos we made obi-wan and darth vader dueling it out with model magic text

yeah, in jr high i had some students who would only draw anime stuff, and i tried oh so hard to get them to draw in different styles.

also, i believe the beatles comment, theres a guy in project runway you didn't know what Sargent Pepper's Lonely Heart was. and he's like our age! yikes!!

oh also on the beatles, i wanted to do a lesson based on listening and drawing/imaginary descriptive words to "lucy in the sky with diamonds" yeah my siblings were all like, don't pick a song having to do with drugs. and they shot down my idea... ha which i claimed the song isn't about drugs, but rather a drawing that john's son made.

i could maybe understand if someone didnt know what sgt. lonely heart was bc its a little specific. i was talking just the beatles in general. but for someone on project runway where theyre surrounded a pop culture life style... thats kind of sad.

ouch on comparing starwars to pokemon! but i can see the vague connection... besides, that was one project not 4 out of 4.

screw that senior, of course hes not your equal! tell him to stop being a bitch and respect your authority. the jr high kids do that all the time too. they will be like "but im an eighth grader and they're only a seventh grader..." such a difference!
