I woke up around 8 or 9. Showered, brushed my teeth, got dressed, grabbed my ticket and hit the road. I stopped at Walmart for some snacky foods and water, and then again for gas, before I hightailed it to South Beach. Was parked by 11:10am right next to Devin (adreamunchased). I combed my hair, and grabbed my food. Took this picture while walking up to the doors. I WANT THAT FUCKING POSTER!!

Sat down with everyone. Devin forgot twister this time. We all talked, walked around and just chilled out. While April 14th at Revolution was a party, the 23rd was merely a group of people just hanging out. Met these really awesome girls Re and Rachel. Re lives near me, actually, and Rachel drove down from Melbourne.

A few pictures.

Doors opened on time, and it was a mad rush to get to the chicks who were handing out wristbands for the pit tickets. Got my barricade and sat down with everyone else waiting for the show to start. Enter bouncy jitters here. hehe..

mewithoutYou was the first band, as expected, to perform. While I love the band's music, and felt that the performance was amazing, Jackie Gleason FAILED with their soundcheck. All you heard was guitar distortion and a bass guitar. You couldn't hear Aaron at all. =/ But you could see Jesse Lacey dancing off stage. That made me smile. I love seeing him get into the bands he loves.

Thrice was next. I've never actually sat through an entire set of Thrice. And it's been 5 years since I first found out about them. heh.. They played "Stare Into The Sun" and "Deadbolt" from the first disc, which I loved. I fell in love with some of their newer, more mellow tracks. "Digital Sea" has become my favorite Thrice song.

Then, Brand New. I lost my voice by the end of that set. I walked out sounding like I've been smoking 5 packs of cigs a day for my entire life. Saw Sara, whom I haven't seen since Warped back in June, and watched Devin blow $70 on merch. He ended up having to borrow money from someone to pay for parking. That's Devin for you. =] Don't stand in the way of him and BN merch. =]

Me in my car before leaving the venue

It was raining when we walked out of the venue. Had some trouble starting my car. These nice guys came and helped. =] Got it started, and Devin took off. Thanks.. I got to sit in a part of Miami Beach I'm not comfortable with alone for 10 minutes while my engine warmed. Then, as I'm driving home, standing water is forming on I-95. My car swerved a little, but I was able to maintain control and was driving between 50 and 60 MPH. My car hit a pothole of standing water, however, and fishtailed. This caused me to start doing donuts on 95 with Friday night oncoming traffic coming at me. Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck.. My first instinct was hitting the brake. When I spun faster, I took my foot off the pedal and turned the wheel slightly in the opposite direction I was spinning. The car stopped, thankfully, without hitting anything. But it stopped facing South with northbound traffic coming at me. A SUV couldn't stop quick enough and hit my car.

Damage report: Paint scraped off the bumper on the driver's side of the car. No dents, just paint.

A tow truck saw it all and was the first to arrive on scene. One of the guys in the truck got me out of the car. (I was freaking out and could only say "Oh my god" while crying uncontrollably and shaking.) The other guy led me to the tow truck while the first guy moved my car out of traffic. I watched on, about to have a heart attack, while a stranger drove my car. The SUV followed and stopped in front of my car. I never saw the damage. While I was calming down, I called my dad. When I felt capable of speaking clearly, I exited the truck, walked up to the tow truck guys and the driver of the SUV and explained that the police were not necessary. There were no injuries, the damage was not significant, and I didn't believe that anyone was at fault. I drove home, shaken, and talked to Skip.

I got home, safely. Though I was told by Jexx, the girl who said she'd give me a ride up to Orlando since Skip bailed on me, was going through mad drama and couldn't take me. I started to freak out. I couldn't NOT go.. I HAD to be there. I was given the choice by my dad to go and take the $160 I gave him for FPL, which would screw us all, or stay and lose out on amazing music and $85 worth of concert tickets.

I almost had an anxiety attack, when Jexx called me back. She was able to get me up there, but didn't know if she could drive me back down. I took it. I calmed down and was finally able to go to sleep at 3:45 am.

Jexx woke me up at 10:30 am saying that she was on her way. And I wasn't packed. Managed to get 2 outfits, 2 sleeping outfits, accessories and everything I needed packed in 30 minutes. I win. Told my dad I was leaving, and was out the door. We were on the Turnpike by 11:15 am and in Orlando by 1:30 pm. Jexx dropped me off at the venue (House of Blues in Downtown Disney) and was off to check into her hotel. I got my ticket from Will Call and sat down with Re and Rachel from the night before. Doors opened at 6, and aside from having to empty my ENTIRE purse, I was in with no problem. Got barricade and sat down. Was right next to Jenna and Michelle from the Brand New forum. Devin got there late and was about 6 rows behind us. mewithoutYou's sound was MUCH better. They had this folk couple open up for them. It was awesome. They played a different setlist from the night before. Thrice played the same setlist. The setlist from that Brand New performance can be found at adreamunchased

All I can say is MOSHI FUCKING MOSHI!!!!

Met up with my buddy, Charles, after the show. Got my bag out of Jexx's car and ate at McDonald's as I was starting to feel faint. Ended up going to Denny's to see about getting me a Greyhound home when one of my best friends, Carl (linkcm), called. I haven't seen this kid in like 2 years. Drove to Casselberry, where he lives, and hung out there until like 5 am. Got to see him take his first sip of alcohol. =] That's my wallflower right there! Not having any alcohol until AFTER his 21st birthday. hehehehe.. Passed out on Charles' airbed..

Sunday, Novemeber 25th, 2007

Woke up at 10. Charles made me a french toast thing for breakfast, and when I felt my stomach was able to hold it down, I ate an orange. (Citric acid + empty stomach for me = vomiting) He bought me my ticket, and we left at almost noon. Apparently, I missed the band busting their ass outside Virgin Megastore. Oh well.. Got there at 12:30. Around 1:30, we were told to go to the end of the line. Only, I saw Jenna, Michelle, Re, Rachel, and Kayla up at the front. Michelle said she felt bad when she saw that it was me moved. It made no difference to me. We played Uno for a while listening to Madonna, *NSYNC's Christmas CD, The Beatles, Imogen Heap, and finally Manchester Orchestra. That cd had everyone in line singing along. =] We also started to play some Trivial Pursuit, but by the time we got into it, it was 4 pm and doors opened at 5 pm. So we put everything away. I went out to the car to change and freshen up and got ready for doors. I was FUCKING PISSED at the way security handled doors Sunday night. Because of their insistence to check EVERYTHING in a girl's purse (I had a simple fucking clutch that I couldn't even fit my phone in) I didn't get barricade. Instead, I got second row. Why didn't I get barricade? At least 3 short and big chicks got barricade. Fuckers. It wasn't too big of a deal since it was my third time seeing them that weekend, but I was a bit pissed off. Sat down and played Solitaire on my phone until 5 minutes before 6 pm. mewithoutYou came on, then Thrice switched up their set, and Brand New did the same. AND THEY PLAYED "SIC TRANSIT GLORIA"!! The setlist is on Devin's LJ. Was in the pit with some cool people. Hung out with them a little bit after the show. The show was done by 10 pm so that the venue could have their Sunday night DJ set. Saw Rachel leave the venue on a stretcher and got worried. Then I saw Re and was floored. They had too much to drink.

When the people from the show left, I started to get a bit cold, so Charles and I walked to the car. Re's ambulance was still outside. I went over to see if she was okay, and saw that she was giving the cops a hard time. She was wasted, lost her glasses, and refused to go to the hospital. Trying to reason with her, I went through the garbage bag she had just thrown up in. Yeah.. Fucking gross. Her glasses weren't there. I gave the cops my information, and took responsibility for her. Was able to get a hold of Rachel and found directions to the hospital she was taken to. Charles drove us over there. While he went in to sign Rachel out of the ER, I parked the car. Rachel had Re's glasses the entire time. One of the paramedics that went with Rachel had held onto Re's glasses while she vomited and took them with him. Got back to House of Blues. I drove Rachel's car back to the hotel, while Charles took Re with him in his. Got Re into bed. Now, with the hardest part of the night behind us, it's now 12:30 and we're all starving. Got orders for Taco Bell and I drove Rachel's car. Taco Bell was closed. We tried McDonald's and got there just in time for closing. We ordered food and went back to the hotel. We hung out there until 2 am. Re felt that it was morally right to pay us for the hassle Charles and I went through that night. She gave us $40. I was touched. Got on the Greyhound at 4:45 am with no voice, dead battery on my cell phone, and the best weekend since I was in Panama City behind me. Met this weird dude wearing an Audioslave t-shirt. He hit on me indirectly. I gave him my phone number, but in my lack of voice slur, he typed in 3674 instead of 3679. HAHAHAHA.. FAIL.. Got off the bus at 7:20 to find Skip waiting for me. I blushed a little, went back to his place, showered and had a 2 hour nap before work on Monday.

It's not Brand New without drama, but I wouldn't have changed that weekend for ANYTHING!
