Ah. That was absolutely beautiful and incredibly well done. I have kind of had the same problem you've had with reconciling where we left off as the Season 5 finale came to a close ( ... )

Needing a little more to justify was exactly why I had to write this. I was all for Lisa, and Dean with Lisa, but I just couldn't imagine him being able to carry on, no matter what promise was made. I just kept coming round to Lisa getting fed up with a surly, withdrawn nutcase who was so closed off and absent that he was more a headache than a boyfriend. I couldn't even imagine Dean being able to fake it, knowing that Sam was in hell, and exactly what hell was like. So I had to sit down and examine Lisa closely and see if she was the type of woman with five months of patience for our broken boy, and enough strength and concern to put in the effort. I decided that she did, and eventually, I realised that it was entirely possible that there could be enough smiles to make it worth all the tears. It warms my heart that so many people were surprised at how much they enjoyed the first person Cas narrator, It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy to know that I made him work when most people wouldn't like him. I'm still preyy enthused, as ( ... )

Holy crap! What an incredible story! I find so many dislike Lisa, that to see her written so wonderfully, is a total delight and I agree, this so should be a verse :)

I've actually been a little surprised to discover how many people were against Lisa. I'll admit, she wasn't my first choice for a pairing with the Golden Boy, (I'm one of those freaks who was gung-ho for Dean/Jo for the longest)but once I realised that she was who the writers intended to be with him, I went back and studied her a bit and decided that I adored her. She's strong, brave, accepting, and beautiful, and she has the life and family that Dean always secretly wanted. (The first hint I remember seeing that he wanted to start a family of his own was way back in the djinn episode)I'm very glad to find someone else who likes her, and to recieve such wonderful praise for my interpretation of her. Thank you.

Wow... I am so not into the whole Lisa-Dean set-up, but wow. This is a very lovely thing, and really heart-achey too. I think it's a shame that we won't see them actually establish themselves in their relationship like this in Show, because you've sketched it out so naturally and so organically, with Dean's grief gradually being assuaged [albeit not forgotten] by her sheer persistence. You've made her seem so real in this, and if she does end up appearing more than two or three times this is the Lisa I'd like to see. Really gorgeous... ;-)

I'm happy to have won you over at least a step closer to Lisa. I, too would love to see her in at least a few episodes in Season 6, to see how she has managed to care for Dean and helped him towards his goal of an apple pie life. I'm not silly enough to think they'll actually let her keep him, but I honestly hope that they don't just assassinate her or the relationship right out of the gate. I'm flattered that you enjoyed my interpretation of Lisa and that she came across as realistic. If I had one wish, it would be for Sammy to run into a nice girl in a library, and the Finale of the series be Dean and Lisa and Sammy and his girl settling down to live appl pie lives together in the same town, with get togethers on Saturdays for barbeque. That would make for a very satisfying conclusion in my book. Thank you so much for the rec, it's unspeakably flattering for a non-Lisa fan to enjoy a story of mine enough to pass it around.
