While this whole situation is awfully bizarre to read about (no offense intended, I personally just can't quite come to grips being that kind of fan ;D), I agree that it is pretty amazing. Regardless of how it worked out, you showed incredible courage and drive: You knew what you wanted and weren't afraid to do what you needed to to get it, and that kicks ass.

Don't look at it as lol-worthy or shameful. Find the good in this story - you had the courage to go for what you wanted. :)
