Pages and Counts

I've reached the 50-page mark with the novel I'm writing, which I celebrated by having some sushi tonight. Though this is still 14,000 words of the first draft of a novel that's going to be about 100,000 words, so the celebration is brief ( Read more... )

i'll race you! you have a head start but thankfully, mine won't be 800 pages. what are you writing? middlemarch?

Wow, I hadn't read about him, but I've not reached your maturity level yet. Hahaha... If he's still producing good work at age fifty, he rocks. If he isn't, um, well, I won't be all that surprised.

And you wanna race? Oh chrimeny... I'm no good at races. Never have been. And no, haha, I'm not writing Middlemarch. I'm thinking it will probably only be about 700 pages now. 800 was a more liberal guess.
