yeah, i guess i don't find it problematic to pose that question, and in that sense i sympathize with the "racial realist" movement. i object to the questions raised by _the bell curve_ not because i don't think they should be asked, but because i think it's methodologically dubious to try to separate culture from genetics in any kind of systematic way, or to at this point determine conclusively that there are genetic differences between the IQ's of different racial groups. but if there are indeed such measurable differences, i would rather know than not
