Here's how I think the films should go: No more Princess Snaggletooth or Tobey McJerkwad. Yes?

That's the plan.

They're ignoring the previous films and setting it in high school, like the early comics, Ultimate Spider-Man, and the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon series.

I'm also hoping they make it more serialized in terms of villains. The existing trilogy organized each film to be an operatic rise and fall of the villain. People are familiar with cliffnote origins/falls for Spidey's three biggest foes.

I hope it's a cold opening, several months into being Spider-Man, where there are already supervillains, Uncle Ben is dead, and Peter is in a relationship with Gwen Stacy (who should die in the first or second film, as a result of Peter's actions -- reinforcing the whole great power/responsibility theme we heard a lot about but really didn't see much of)

My biggest regret is that they'll probably recast J. K. Simmons. He was perfect as JJJ.
