outing to Kimbal's on Sun Oct 28??

I am thinking it might be fun to take Will up to Kimbal's (or somewhere else suitable) for a corn maze, maybe a hayride, a bit of animal farm viewing, maybe some apple-picking and, if it is Kimbal's, some ice-cream, of course.

Would anyone else be interested? I am thinking of this coming Sunday afternoon.

It is late in the season for apple-picking, so you may want to call the orchard first to check. Maybe the harvest this year is different, but several orchards were not picking by the end of Oct. last year.

I second the "check if they're still picking," though it is possible as farmers' markets still have apples. I am afraid I am not in, as orchards that have gone kid-friendly give me the screaming heebie-jeebies. I respect the bouncy castle and face painting and singalong and hordes of people and petting zoo and, and, and, but I do not want it mixed in to my apple picking.

None of which is to say that you shouldn't go, or that you shouldn't have a great time. ;)

Well, frankly, I'm more into the corn maze and hayride & having Will pet (or at least see) animals than I am into the animal picking - though getting the concept that food comes from trees would be neat too.

Did I forget to mention the ice cream?

I'm optimistic about limited hordes, but that's just my natural outlook and not grounded.
