writer's strike: officially affecting me.

Thanks to all for the well wishes about the engagement. I'm utterly slammed at work, so I elected not to just reply to everyone individually with a heartfelt "thanks." If you want to see what I gave John, look hereSo the payroll company we use went under. This means my accountant is scrambling to get us paid this week, and will be struggling to ( Read more... )

You have to give Vidas something? Isn't he getting enough? I mean, I can think of two awesome things he's scoring without even trying.

What? Why is everyone looking at me like that? I'm just saying what we're all thinking. Plus, I just gave John a gift for no reason that you know nothing about, so suck it!

UnitedHollywood.com has a widget that is showing the ongoing total for the money California is losing during the strike. It's massive.

People are generally surprised at my fiancé's unprecedented generosity, so I understand you're comment. No one *has* to give anyone anything so I'm just grateful to have such a loving woman who also happens to have impeccable taste.

Also, thank you very much for the fine gift Jamie.

you know it's 410am and you can't sleep when you put the wrong "your." That's unlike you, gorgeous.

You're also grateful to have such a loving woman who also happens to have impeccable cans.

I get the WGA's issues and agree that they deserve appropriate compensation, but I have moral issues with the concept of striking because it always always always affects others -- often innocent others -- so badly. I know many disagree with me, but I consider striking to be akin to hostage taking. :(

I hope things don't go too badly for you and that your payroll issue is sorted out reasonably quickly.

I hear that. I support the WGA, but striking sucks. So many people I know are hurting because of it. And...I don't EVEN know what TV is going to be like for the rest of the season. Hope you like American Gladiators.

Payroll is still going through (I don't work for free) but the deposit we'll never see again is going to hit a little hard. it's totally lame.

Beautiful watch!

I hope it all gets straightened out soon, you work too hard to not get paid for it!

Thanks! It was a bit of an ordeal getting it, and hiding it, and wrapping it to look like a birthday present. I was glad he liked it. :)
