Heh... "chyrons"... sounds like some kind of alien pod babies. I knew there had to be some industry term for those things. Wikipedia now tells me "lower thirds" is another term. Although it seems Medeo prefers the less conventional "lower half".
yeah, lower thirds...I guess. It's usually (when you talk about thirds) more about composition and stuff. I guess it can be used for chyrons. Chyrons are like any time there's some graphicky shit that's all "and now...american gladiator...FURY!!! (5'8, 148 lbs)"
But I've never seen them cover the subject. That's just weak design.

Too bad about those Medeo graphics. Why would you want to cover the mouth/chin of the person you're interviewing?
