He didn't know what had happened at first. Somebody had yelled out 'Doctor House' and Wilson had turned to see who it was, House had kept walking. Then there was a thudding noise, and he felt something punch him in the chest. He was struggling to breathe. Then he was on the ground and looking at the blood on his clothes and on his hands. Somebody screamed and there was a loud cracking noise and then a gun fell to the floor in front of him. Then House was kneeling there, his hands pulling at Wilson's clothes, fear written all over his face. The last thought Wilson had before the world went dark was that at least it hadn't been House this time.

I hope this isn't meant as a death!fic. The key idea reminded me of http://mer-duff.livejournal.com/10430.html (that's on of my all-time favorite fics). I'm impressed at how you managed to be heartbreaking in so few words (and, even more, in 14 minutes - are you on SPEED?).

No, no, I would never do that to Wilson :) He wakes up in the ICU with House sittingly lovingly by his bedside, holding his hand - well maybe not the hand holding :) Yes, I had that fic in mind a bit :)
