I don't know if it's your scanner or the exposure, but both headless pictures are kind of dark. If I had to pick one I'd say the first, just because I like the angle and maybe the composition is a little better. It's a cool concept if anything.

No, they're definitely on the dark side, but my scanner isn't helping. I know what you mean about the compostion of the 1st headless one, the trees add something to it, it seems more balanced, the second one has a weird angle but I like that it's the body against an empty sky. you could try dodging the body in headless one because the trees don't help the psudosilhouette
