Look At Me...

Tonight is a night for detached self-examination. A night for rambling sentances. A night for thinking. About me, my life, my past and my future. Thinking again about symbols ( Read more... )

Wow. I must say, though I'm somewhat disturbed by your ever-present pessimism, I am at the same time intrigued. I just happened upon your livejournal through the random search and thought I would say hi. I hope you find whatever it is your searching for as well as a light at the end of your tunnel. At any rate, you're a brilliant writer. I don't know if anyone has ever told you that, but you write with such eloquence, I couldn't help but be more than slightly memorized. Keep writing. You're amazing. :)

It's one thing to be miserable and not realize you can do something about it...

It's completely different when you find, whether you're already your own enemy or not, you have the power to create or to destroy, and no matter how many people it affects, you're always the center of it. You're given this power of potential, this great feeling of doing something worthwhile, and feeling it, and finding yourself- even in a moment- where you can't find misery, where you can actually love life.

That's an attempt to tug ya out of pessimism with a thought. If I didn't succeed in doing anything just now, I KNOW I frikken distracted you from yourself for a moment. ;)

My last thought? I hope- yes, this is MY hope, not a "you should do this"- I hope that you pull yourself onward, if even for the small things.

I thought you might like to know: I just recently finished reading this amazingly disturbing novel entitled "The Sailor Who Fell From Grace With The Sea" in which an entire Chapter is devoted to a group of thirteen year old boys killing and dissecting a kitten in order to discover meaning in their otherwise meaningless and fleeting existence.

Here's my favourite quote from that section:

"The cat was only an exterior; life had posed as a cat."

Another one would probably be:

"Death had transfigured the kitten into a perfect, autonomous world."

I just thought you might be interested in looking into that a bit further maybe it’ll provide you with some answers. It's not a bad book either, even though it is quite disturbing!

If you want to know more ... (or maybe just like that) feel free to mail me: cloudy_a@hotmail.com

Luv Claudia
